i think resigning is the best option, but i have a question though, how does getting suspended from work or getting fired affect you as a nurse??does it go in your records, and in this case,'you' means just anybody

I hate when they just just let go of staff especially with no notice. one of the Trisun healthcare facilities just let go of nurses with no notice at all, can you imagine today you have a job, hrs later you are jobless????

i have a question, where do i get information about the things LVNs are allowed to do, eg IVs, changing G-tubes, supra-pubic catheters, flushing picc lines, etc

I think that sometimes families get their frustrations on the nursing staff, just because they couldn't take care of their loved ones at home, they bring their guilty asses on us and try to point out a mistake on everything we do. i have seen families who complain over little staff, like oh my mum has been waiting to be put in bed for the past half an hour, what they don't get is that their mum is not the only pt there, and she has to wait for her turn. and something i have realized with facilities too, they only care about pts whose families visit regularly and mayb have threatend to report them to state.such pts will be turned q2hrs,always clean and dry, call lights answered immediately, but what happens to the granny whose family has never showed up?????? who will call the state for her sake???

im just curious, how long does the ABh gel take to work because i usually give pts who get agitated before their showers but its doesnt seem to help much. oh and this are hospice pts coz mostly they are the ones on the ABH gel for agitation.

hey guys, i don't know if im the only one having this problem, but i work in a longterm facility, first shift and it just drives me crazy. This is because, the evening and night shift nurses don't wanna do anything! e.g new orders i leave something for them to do, because i was busy n didn't get to it but guess what? its still there the next morning waiting for me. does this happen to you?? hey guys, i was wondering if there is a restriction to how many hours you can work in a week? this is because some people have two jobs, a fulltime job and PRN job, so can u work both, the same week, and get like 72HRs??

i agree with stevielynn, the best thing is to call the doc and let him naw abt the situation. it aint that hard to change a 9pm med to 4pm.esp the vitamins and stool stoftners. but till that is done, i would stick with the MAR giving meds an hour before or an hour after which is ok. i wouldnt advice anybody to do what other pple are doin, do wat u naw is right, wen u get busted, it will be you alone and ur license, remember how hard u worked to get that license, im sure u wouldn't be too happy to lose ur license jus because u din wanna follow the MAR!!!

all i can tell you, is have faith in urself, had 85 questions too, that was in august, din naw wat to feel but i passed, so i pray you make it too.

here in dallas they start at $20/hr in the longterm care. i don naw abt hospitals.

i got a fulltime job will be starting on mon, i will be doin medicare hall i hope i hav a blast.

i finally got a job in a nursing home, but they are training me for prn. i wuld really love to get a fulltime job, since im a new grad, so any job openings out thea, let me naw. anywhere near dallas.

since i moved here to texas, it has not been easy especially since i dont know alot of pple, finding a job has been dificult only becoz i did not know where to start.i wanted to work at a hospital so that i can get experience but things are different, its hard to get a job at a hospital with no experience, atleast one year, so now im looking for a job in the nursing homes, which i hav heard pay good. i wish i had done a little more research before coming here, but now iam here and im not looking back, i blv i will get a job and one day i will look back and be proud of my self.so its been almost a month now since i got my lpn lincense and still not working. but im hoping for the best.
