I know what you are talking about. I am a new nurse to MICU and I too am having a problem with organizing. My preceptor is not that organized either so I guess that doesn't help. She is very knowledgable but that is about it. Any suggestions?

I know that it is hard to keep seem FAIL when you get your results but hang in there. I passed on my 5th try!!! It is possible. How and what are you studying? Did you try Suzanne plan? I would not suggest taking the LPN exam. You got through nursing school so you will pass the test. Giving up is not an option. I have spend alot of money on the EXAM, application fees and study material so I feel you on the cost. Give yourself a break and then start studying again using a different method from the last times. I will keep you in my prayers, please don't give up.

Well said. I truly know how you feel about having to take the exam more than one time. I had a friend that passed on the first try and she works in the ICU but she had to go back to training several times because she just was not grasping the concept so the number of times you take the test will not mean you will be a good nurse. I left my last job because the charge nurse was talking down to me because I had not passed yet and I felt that was inappropriate and disrespectful. I did give her a few choice words before I left. To all who are waiting on the your results and repeat test takers keep the faith it will happen, I am a living testimony. I took the test 5xs so I truly understand how you feel. Keep pushing forward no matter how hard it may seen the reward at the end is the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purplelady Don't beat yourself up. I took the test 5 times and passed on my 5th try with 75 qs and I had about 6 SATA. I also had 3 med calc so the number really don't matter. The 1st 2x I had 75qs then the next two I had 265qs and the last time I had 75 again with a PASS. Don't let negative people cloud your judgement or play on your self confidence. Surrond yourself with postive people only. I will pray for you and you will be successful in Gods time.

Marvin Sapp said it best because I never would have made it without the Jesus. This is going to be a long post because I have a testimony. I graduated May 2007. I took the Kaplan review class with the online question and scheduled my exam for June. I had 75 questions and failed. I was shocked. Never failed anything before, I have a masters degree what could possibly be wrong. Ok was hurt but I got myself together and started studying again. Took the test again August had 75 questions again, surely I have passed this time. NOT Failed again. Ok at this point I was totally devasted. All my friends were calling me to give suppor and comfort. I know that God would not leave his child. Satan was truly working on my faith. I really wanted to just go out to the freeway and get hit head on. I was numb. I started reading all the encouraging words here and how others prevailed after failing. I got learningtxt from online course for 5wks along with Saunders and started to study all over again. Everyday I was doing question. Scheduled for my test again and had 265 questions and again FAILED. OMG what is going on. At this point I was praying and praying and praying. Lord do you hear my cry!!! Satan kept messing with my mind but I kept my faith (what I had left) in God. I knew he was trying to speak to me in a might way. I was in an emotionally abusive relationship with my fiancee and I knew I need to leave but could not muster up the strength. January took the test for the fourth time, confident I was going to pass this time. I failed again 265 questions. Ok now what!! Please give me the # to the mental institute. So I kept praying. All the while he kept telling me to give up taking the test and was not supportive at all. Never did he comfort me or give me encouraging words. So I fasted and prayed for God to please give me the strength to get out of this and encourage myself. Trust me just when you think the sun will not come out behind the clouds it will. I said I will not study again for this test. I felt like I had all the knowledge I need, so 2 wks before I took it on May 8 I did Kaplan q bank and that was it. I prayed everyday for God to show me what I need to study again so I would be ready and the spirit kept telling me to look over the endocrine system. That is what my test mostly consisted of. Just want everyone to know that God is good all the time and he may not come when you want him but he is an on time God. Keep the faith and encourage yourself when nobody will and you will make it. It took me 5 times to pass. I had 75 questions this time and today I found out I am an RN!!!!

So does it mean you see words such as first, essentially and most in bold is that high level? What about infection control? So math is considered a sign that you are not in the high level of question? I am so confused about this!!!!!!!!!!

Can't really tell if you fail or pass with 75 questions. I had 75 q's and 265 q's and failed both time. The number of questions don't matter as I can see.

its funny that you posted this and i had a question today on my test relating to neupogen. i had just read this post last night and remembered it. so thanks for your help with that one.

what edition of sauders are you using? I have the third edition and I am unable to go to the alternative section.

Thanks for the testimonies. I can just in time for me. When you think you are going through something and hear about somebody else struggles your problems are nothing. I understand what you have experienced. I have taken the NCLEX several times and not passed. God knows there were somethings I had to change in my life first so that I could concentrate on GOD and the break through I know thats coming my way. I had too many things on my plate and there was no room for God's blessings. Now that I have cleaned house I am ready for the overflow of blessings that was promised to me. I too was struggling with whether God was hearing my cry and seeing my tears. He has given me a peace and allowed me to get out a unhealthy situation and now I am waitng patiently on him. I got my ATT to retest again and I will test end of this month of 8th of May. Please keep me in your prayers. I know that Jesus and fix it.

I am the in the same boat I had 75 questions 2xs and then 265 after that. Did not have anything in between. I took a break before I start studying again. I will start to study again Monday and probably will not take my test again until April.

thanks everyone for your prayers but I did not pass. I got the results about an hour ago. I am so frustrated that I really don't know what to do. My faith is strong in the Lord but this starting to be a real challenge for me. My school had a high pass rate as well and as far as I know me and one more person is the only two who have not passed. I guess I will take a break and just focus on myself for a while because I feel like I am having a nervous break down. I am tired of seeing my results FAIL. I will prayer for all who have to take the test and those who are waiting on theirs. Please keep me on your prayer list.

OMG, my name is not on BON and I am totally feeling like I am coming apart. They do their own quick results but I don't know what I did with the number so I can check. I called to see if I could get it. I am now doing deep breathing.

Alabama does not provide quick results through Pearson, but you can obtain your results on their website in 48hrs with your account number that was provided when you paid for your test. I think it starts with 900 or 600 and it is free.

Family, I am forever grateful for your prayers and kind words. This forum has/ and still is helping me get through hard times. Reading some of the stories let me know that I am not the only one who hard times have fallen upon. Thanks for everthing and you will forever be in my prayers. We have to continue to uplift oneanother.

OK January family I took the NCLEX today and had all 265 questions. I thought I was going to loose it. Icried all the way home because I just don't know what to expect. The last time I took it I had all the questions and failed. I was near and above passing in every area. Just please make sure that you say a prayer for me. I am going through alot with this NCLEX and my personal life. I really need a break through. I know that it is all in God's hand. Now here comes the waiting game.
