  1. Did y'all end up taking the course? Does it meet the initial furnishing requirement?
  2. Would be able to amend your application with proof of completing a new course or whatever was missing without having to pay again? I took advanced pharmacology at WGU; I'm not sure it meets the requirements. I've seen a 45 hour course mentioned here https://www.npcourses.com/45-hour-advanced-pharmacology-course/ . Wondering if I should risk rejection or take this course before applying for furnishing.
  3. Thanks. I have. Waiting on a response.
  4. University of Colorado. Sorry for the two year late reply LOL. I've graduated and now stressing about if California Board of Registered Nursing will accept WGU's advanced pharmacology. WGU's MSN is more trouble than it's worth. It saved me a lot of time getting my Nurse-Midwifery Certification but such a headache.
  5. Did they end up accepting this course? I took advanced pharm at Western Governors University. I have a feeling that may not meet California requirements. I'm thinking I'll go ahead and take this course. If they respond that I need to retake pharm, I can send them this completed course.
  6. I did RN-MSN. I would say be careful with post grad certificates. Some schools don't set them up for financial aid. Will you need loans for your post grad certificate? Think carefully before doing it.
  7. I've just accepted an offer from University of Colorado; they will not accept Adv. Patho or APN Role.
  8. Did you take this class? I need this class ASAP.
  9. Did you ever find somewhere to take this class? I'm in the same situation. I need to take advanced pathophysiology, this summer, to start my post grad program, this fall.
  10. I'm having the opposite problem. I've been accepted into a post grad program and they will accept the pharm and assessment from wgu, but not the patho.
  11. Congrats to those that got in. I got waitlisted for the CNM program.
  12. Frontier is just extra clinicals for the WHNP portion. I know UCSF has a dual program, but I don't think it's online.
  13. I think they look at all your answers. Just realized I didn't quote any of the other comments I was replying to. lol Y'all know whom you are.
  14. Impressive GPA. My ADN GPA was 3.9, but I think they only look at the GPA from your latest degree. I did my last two degrees from Western Governors University, so I have a 3.0 because that's the only GPA you can get.
  15. I think you apply for the DNP. You'll get your MSN along the way and can take a year off before continuing on to the DNP program.
  16. I think priority is up to Nov 14th because of the application opening late.
  17. I would apply now! If you can get everything in, they might assess your application in the first round. They understand that you will have completed those courses before the program begins.
  18. I applied to the direct entry Nurse Midwife program. My transcripts were all in before Nov 1st, but the Official Transcripts check didn't turn green until Nov 1st. I'm glad there's a little leeway this year. My academic reference was from my advisor in my online RN-BSN program. She said she couldn't speak on behalf of the school. I hope it still counts as an academic advisor since she knows best what I'm capable of.
  19. For those that got in, any advice on the essay?
  20. I haven't found it necessary, but my first job was desperate for nurses and the only school in the area was an ASN program. Maybe getting those 3 years of experience allowed me to get later jobs. I am going back to get my BSN now because I want to go to grad school.
  21. Frontier University has a bridge program for RNs with ADNs.
  22. Not unless she was pregnant for more than 13 months. She started the program when she was 25 weeks pregnant and finished a week before her child was born. It is possible to finish the program in 13 weeks.
  23. I hate nursing at times. I'm almost finished with my orientation on a post partum unit. I just got my evaluation. I like the unit, but my personality is holding me back. Maybe I'm not cut out for nursing. I felt this way through school. I'm a very shy and cautious person and those aren't skills needed as an RN. I feel like I am progressing, but too slow. Being cautious is a good thing, but when it makes me go so slow that I get behind it's not a good thing. I don't know if I'll ever overcome my shyness and be able to be a great charge nurse. Once I'm off of orientation, I'm expected to be charge nurse. The whole hospital is short staffed, so I will probably be the only RN on my shift. I feel like I don't have the personality of a nurse. Thank you for letting me vent.
  24. Hi, I can't believe I made it through nursing school. I'll be graduating with an ASN. Congratulations to everyone who made it!
