  1. I like the title Nurse. And if we changed our title, patients would be even more confused about what we do.
  2. Start applying now. At least in my area, there isn't really much of a job market. I feel very lucky to have my job. Good luck.
  3. Congrats! Good luck with the job hunt!
  4. Yes that's the right page, just type in your first and last name. If you can't register on PearsonVue, you probably passed (at least that's what happened with me).
  5. i took the nclex on a wednesday and they had my license posted the next day. the next week i got my license in the mail along with the nclex results.
  6. i live in ohio. we have quick results too but my license number was posted the day after the test. most of the people in my class had their license posted the next day if they passed too. on the OBN website it said if you passed, your license will be posted within 3 days. good luck!
  7. worked for me. took nclex yesterday and tried the trick when i got home. the message popped up and today i found out i officially passed.
  8. i was on a telemetry floor for two clinicals in nursing school. lots of cardiac meds and EKG strips. a lot of patients are diabetic too.
  9. I got in with a 3.7 and was told by one of my advisers that the cut off would be around 3.5. Talk to an adviser to get more info about the cut off GPA.
  10. I go to Wright State too! I heard about that this week. I graduate next year in June. They're getting rid of the ERIs after this quarter. I think I would rather take the ERIs than the HESI. I really don't want to get this far and then not graduate because of one test that we aren't really prepared for.
  11. our clinical instructor is always with us. this doesn't sound safe at all.
  12. I love it. I'm a student nurse and it makes prepping for clinical so much easier. At first it's a little confusing but it really does get better. It's awesome.
  13. You learn a lot more than just cleaning pillows... Anatomy, physiology, mircology, patho, chemistry plus all the nursing classes where you learn vitals, meds etc. Not just any teenager could do it. JMO
  14. Study and don't fall behind on your work. Nursing school is hard but it's worth it in the end (at least that's what I'm told ) Good luck and congrats!
