  8. Hi, I had to take the TEAS test about a month ago. I was pretty nervous and scrambled to find any kind of "great" study tool. I purchased the flash cards from the same maker of that book you just bought. Big mistake, I paid $60 for them and never even looked at them. There were probably 500 or so cards to study. Anyhow I felt overwhelmed by all of this possible info. that "could" be on this test. The book as I understood it just gives secrets of test-taking. Not secrets of the TEAS test. Which is why I bought the flash cards instead. I think the best study guide was the one I purchased by the TEAS test makers. It is by ATI, and it is solely based on the TEAS test. You can but one online at www.atitesting.com. It was very informative. I ended up getting an 82% on the test:yeah:(which was good for me considering I havent been to school in years) I hope that you return that book you just bought and get the one I just described...Good Luck!
  9. Hi redraven, Thank you for your reply:rolleyes: Do you know the average scores that people got on their test since the min. score is a 79% ? Good Luck in school and I hope to hear back from you on how school is goin':typing I still have 2 more months til I start. :heartbeat,Kristen

  12. Hi Blessedx3, Wow...you are amazing! I am a 26 yr. old wife & mommy of a 2 year old boy and I was starting to get discouraged about school. Im a career change student and have always dreamed of being in the medical field. I would love to one day be in your shoes(in NP school):heartbeat I will be starting at the bottom (in LPN school) in Jan.. I feel like it is almost impossible to accomplish my dream of being an NP. Do you have any advice/tips on getting there? How did you manage to balance kids and studying and work? What was this path like for you? Thank you for your reply:nurse:
  13. Hi Suesquatch! This is totally off subject, but I felt the need to tell you that I LOVE your little saying at the top of your page:heartbeat "I like my president how I like my coffee;Black and Strong!" So cool!
  14. Hi flower, Thanks for your reply:bow: I was wondering where abouts in Arkansas do you work? I live in the Ft. Smith area. Also, why is the 8,000 bonus not a goos idea? Is it cause you have to work the graveyard shift for 2 years? Also, your an Lpn? For how long? Im waiting for my acceptance letter(Im trying to be positive here:D) 2 weeks...Im gonna go crazy! Thanks for your reply:nurse:
  15. Wow! I grew up in Fullerton also! :redbeathe My husband and I moved to Arkansas Last year. And I know exactly where Kramer st. is. Placentia is a nice city and 569,000 really isnt too bad for a beautiful Ranch style house. Did you end up moving here to Arkansas??

  17. Hi Nickilaughs, do you mind me asking where about in the IE you work? I was living and grew up in OC, but would definately live in Temecula, or somewhere around there:rolleyes:(to me anything is better than where Im at) Also, do you work at a hospital or an SNF? I heard that hospitals kinda phased out LVN's:cry: What are your duties? Are you allowed to give injections? Im taught them here in AR. but I dont think its leagal in CA for LVNs to give injections. Thanks for your reply:nurse: Kristen
  18. Hi commuter, I intend to work(and live) in orange county...but i would work in L.A if the money is signifigantly more:cool: Thanks for your reply
  19. Hi guys! I was just wondering if any of you could give me a round about estimate of a starting salary for an LVN and an RN? I moved from the O.C to Arkansas to go to nursing school and I've lost touch with reality...need to know what kind of salary Im lookin' at when I move back. Thanks:redbeathe, Kristen:nurse:
  20. What?! 17.75? Thats it? Are you sure? That just seems so low. How does anyone live on that salary? Is that at a hospital? Thank you for response:nurse:

  22. Hey there, could you explain why the curriculum is tough? Isn't it the same anywhere you go? And also, how long did it take you to get your ADN after you went back? Thank you for your reply:nurse:
  23. Ginza, do you know if those people that told you about the tough curriculum were going for their ADN or LPN?:heartbeat, Kristen
  24. Hey there licoricelover, would you mind telling me what about it was tough? Did you get your ADN or LPN there? What was the school schedule like and what was were your fellow students like? I have so many questions! Dont we have to have a certain amount of clinic time? And don't we need to get checked off on duties? How do the students learn those things if they don't get enough clinic time? On a different note how did you end up in N.Y and do you LOVE it?:heartbeatSorry for all the questions I just have my "interview" with Lori Jones next week and I'm a little nervous for the whole thing. We don't even find out if were accepted til the end of next month!? I dont think I can wait that long:nurse:
