I took Nclex thrice and tried Kaplan, NCSBN and Hurst and failed. I think here's my own opinion: NCSBN is good in Q&A's (very similar with the actual Nclex), Kaplan is good in strategies, and Hurst is good with content. Took Hurst on my third try and it really raised my grades.

Hi there! Where in CA are you located (Pinaylala, Hop3, Jtanga, etc.)? We can have a study group if you happen to be in NorCal.

I got my results and I failed but I'm not giving up.

I took my exams last Tues, Aug. 24, 2010 and haven't received my results 'til now. CA doesn't participate with quick results. Does anybody experience same thing? Did anyone who didn't received their results ASAP still pass? I just want to know my status because waiting makes me feel so overwhelmed. Thank you so much

I am taking mine tomorrow also and this is my third time. I cant relax and have been sick of thinking the exam. Right now I am trying everything to relax like exercising, browsing the internet, sleeping and praying. Goodluck to us! I know we can make this!

Thank you Hersheys! I am really scared. I have been working full time, had a baby (8months) and studying at the same time. I know I gotta face my fears because this is the only way. Recently I have ben sick (LBM, coughing and sneezing), maybe because I am so overwhelmed with everything. I still wanted to be in the race track thats why nothing is going to stop me from taking that exam. Goodluck to all of us!

I will be taking the exam next week. I am working full time with a 8 months baby. I am so exhausted in studying. I did Hurst review online, Saunders Q&A and PDA by LaCharity. I dont know if I am ready or not. I just dont want to reschedule also. I am doing Q&A's now since my Hurst review expired already. I am getting so nervous. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Whatever your resources at hand like Q&A CD's just practice on those. Stick to one study material to make u focus more. I tried Kaplan and NCSBN and failed. It doesnt matter what study materials u have as long as you do study your best.

HI Oyeah, I used to register with VT state. I failed twice and they got a lot of requirements and money plays a big part. It was stated in their retake application that if you failed the 3rd or 4th then you will have to do a refresher at school. Well, that would be hard on my part since I graduated internationally. I then processed my papers with CA since I am a resident here. I then got my eligibility wiht CA and it has unlimited retakes. If you have any questions, just let me know. Lovepinks I also failed twice. I am an international grad, married with a baby and also working full time (40 hrs/wk). I took Kaplan (Live and online) and NCSBN, bought a lot of books. To make it short, I spent a lot in preparing for my NCLEX. I am now doing Hurst review and taking my chances again. I am not giving up and I hope THREE'S A LUCK! Goodluck to us!
