  4. I graduated in Feb. and had two job offers in March. Accepted one at an assisting living community making $21/hr.
  5. I had a interview on a Friday was told they had more interviews on Monday, and will let me know something by the end of the week. I got a job offer on Thursday.

  7. Yes, a ex co-worker went there and graduated also she's working as a LPN now. She passed the boards her first try too. She said as long as you can make a commitment to the time/schedule (don't miss no days and focus) you will do just fine.

  10. Just wanted to update I have been working as a CNA now at a assisting living community for 4 months, and I really enjoy my work. I just got accepted into a community college to do pre-nursing, so in the future I can apply for the nursing program there. My first two classes begin this summer in May. I'M SO EXCITED TO START THIS JOURNEY!!!!

  14. Well i just went to the Global Health Nurse Training Services to take my state board exam yesterday i didn't even know they had a LPN program there until i saw it posted while i was there. i'm going to get some infomation on it for sure.
  15. well i decided to get pregnant because of the age difference i wanted my children to be and start my CNA Program i went during the evening and had hard time staying awake at times but i did just fine but im done and 7 months pregnant now but have decide i will have the baby and wait at least 6 to 7 months before starting the LPN program.

  17. mci@ecpi college of technology manassas campus school of practical nursing program progression the practical nursing curriculum is presented in four semesters over a twelve (12) and eighteen (18) month period. each semester must be taught in sequence to allow progression from basic concepts of nursing to advanced practice and leadership roles. the first semester provides the foundation courses that support the framework of the program. this semester also introduces core concepts that are utilized throughout the curriculum. nursing skills are taught in the laboratory and clinical settings. courses taught include foundations of nursing i, ii, iii, anatomy and physiology with medical terminology, pharmacology and normal life span. the second semester allows the students to apply theoretical knowledge to clinical practice. the focus of these courses includes health promotion, health maintenance, and health restoration. opportunities for experience in caring for clients are provided to coordinate with classroom instruction. this semester introduces the students to the care of individuals and families from conception through the childbearing years. concepts of mental health across the lifespan are also introduced. courses taught include medical surgical nursing i, ii, iii, college composition i and microcomputer application. during the third semester the focus is on application of the nursing process to the care of clients across the life span with acute, chronic and complex needs. students are given the opportunity to gain cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills in the care of patients. advance practice skills are also introduced. courses taught include acute care nursing i, ii and iii. the final semester focuses on the leadership and management role of the practical nurse. opportunities are provided to integrate nursing theory with leadership and management theory. students collaborate to explore the role of the practical nurse in the context of nursing care delivery systems. nursing leadership provides the student with a transition from the role of student to practical nurse.
  18. well im from NC but live in Va going on a little more then 2 yrs i plan on moving back to NC though in a yr or so. Well they pay more here but the cost of living is way much much more here then in NC. (thats why we moving back so we can settle and buy a home there).
  19. i checked out the website i didn't see anything about how much the program was! If you dont mind me asking how much is the tuition there? thank you
  20. im looking into becoming a Lpn too myself and stay in northern va. i just became a CNA from Nova medical campus in springfield va. I spoke with a representive at ECPI and the tuition for the program is expensive i think its like 24,000. dont you think thats too much ?
