  1. Thank you! I'd forgotten about this group. I looked into them for the ALS Certification. Thanx~
  2. Thank you for the responses! I have two dear friends who are physicians and they both prefer the university or the community college training in this area, but I am an adult returning student and I need an abreviated route to success. They both frowned on ECPI thinking the nurses were not as prepared as they expected. Even so, I went to check out the ECPI program. It is wildly expensive and I was very nervous about the nursing education they promised. I spoke with a couple of students and nothing seemed to justify the cost other than they have a formula for getting federal financial aid. I left ECPI very frustrated, but resolved not to pay that sort of money unless I was admitted to UNC-CH, which I think is considerably less than ECPI! I hear there is a tuition reimbursement program at Alamance Regional Hospital. Does anyone know of it? I am going there this week and also to CareOne in Raleigh tomorrow. I'll post what I learn. Thank you for the feedback. You guys are awesome! :-)
  3. Hi -Does anyone know of a CNA II or LPN training program in the Triangle area other than Durham Tech? I recently stumbled online across Careone Health Training which looks like its in Raleigh and I've requested information. Does anyone know about this facility? Their CNA II training is 8 weeks for $800 and they have a day and an evening program. I need an (excelerated) evening program if possible because I am essentially a (married) single mom, if that makes sense... I would really like to be in an LPN program next fall, but it looks like Durham Tech is the only option in this area. I read somewhere that Alamance Regional Hospital has an LPN program and that they also have one of the few Tuition Reimbursement programs in the area. But I have not been able to confirm that information. It is nowhere on their website. I would definantly drive there for an LPN program, especially if they offered tuition assistance! Any help or insight appreciated. Thanx~
