Anyone taken the OCN exam lately?? I'm taking it November 5 th, any pointers????

I second the PDA Davis Drug guide, I have tabers on there too, Id be lost without it!!!

Made it though my first semester ADN program, the hardest of all the semesters..Yeah!!! Looking forward to second, Babies and kids!!! So far I love it, Ive made great friends and cant wait til '09

Clara you are going to make a great nurse. Im starting my 2nd semester in nursing school and find that the little things that we do can make all the differance...Good luck and I can feel you pain when going to clinicals and putting on that silly uniform, We do it because we are going to make a differance. Im now a month into my first semester and lets just say that I had ONE good cry....It helped, and made me stronger and Ive actually gave myself some good pep talks in the car on the way to Clinical. Just hang in there, Like medicmom said the best cry will be on Graduation day!!!!!

Im a 35 year old female starting the ADN program in July. This is also my second career. I was a grocery store checker for 19 years. and decided I needed more. I don't have hospital experience but Ive always wanted to be a nurse. I didn't have the money to go to those fancy LVN programs so I started at the community college level. I waited 2 years to get into a program but It was worth the wait. I'll have my RN in 2 years. Most the colleges around here have increased their enrollment so the wait might not be a long. Go for your dream. You can do it.

Santa Ana received a grant two years ago and has increased their enrollment for 24 to 36 at the extended program through St Joseph. I think that they now take 80 students in the fall and 44 in the spring. they only admit extended program in the fall. But Its better then nothing. Where have you been going? I heard GWC is also taking more students in their program too.... Im taking RN 103 and rn 112 at Santa Ana, they recommend that you take these classes before you get in. Its Pharm and Nursing Issues. Pharm is more difficult and Ive taken it before at GWC. They want you to take their class. Good Luck!!!!:cheers:

Hi everyone, I just got into Santa Ana College Nursing program, The extended campas program at St Joseph and Im so Excited!!!! Aug with be 2 years since I applied and went on the list. So far I love the instructors and they seem like they really care. A couple of friends started there last semester and LOVE IT!!!! I took all my pre req's at Golden West College and perfered going to Santa Ana. I know that it takes forever to get in but you will, They have increased their number of nursing students per semester. They got a grant!!!! Hang in there!!!!!

Congrats!!!! I just got into the program also....YIPEEEEE!!!! I love this site, Its very informative and helps me. Im trying to decide if I should get a PDA? I love technology and have been looking for an excuss to get one!!!! I think that I found it, any advice?
