thanks guyz, yes probably it's because i'm not a father yet and haven't really experience holding babies, maybe i'm just a little concern because they are just to fragile. you know. but i love them when they start walking and start talking to you. hehe

NCLEX and lab values
My advise, don't concentrate too much on lab values bec. they differ on every books. What you need to know is use the latest book. Like Saunders 4th edition, instead of memorizing the lab values, know the normal and know what will happen if the values goes and or drops down... that's what is most important, bec. In NCLEX, they won't ask you what is the normal potassium level but ask you what will happen if low potassium. Hopes that helps.

I've failed the NCLEX RN
i think plzhlp, you just need to dedicated your self on 1 book like saunders, read that page to page maybe 1 month or 2, then answer the c.d start on review mode, after you finish all the questions in c.d try test mode, see if you can get 75 percent by then you should know. now move to higher level, kaplan... just get the kaplan qbank. answer 100 a day, take notes how the questions is asking. MOst, assessment, u will eventually get the nclex style questions. by the time you are sitting on your exam, it's just like you are reviewing.. thats what i did, i didn't graduate as a high student but a average and a drunkard. lol.heheh .i manage to pass after sitting and putting 6 hours or more a day..

nursery
i'm planning on joining the NICU internship, As a male isn't awkward for a male to enter a nursery? lol. the reason that it's my only option right now for internship bec. it's open. Since you have to take care of the newborn, feed, put them to sleep...don't you think they want female rather than male, will they hire me? hmm lol. don't you think they will throw me to a ward where lifting is more common?

Finally!
on q bank 56% overall, that's the first try i finish all the qbank, and after i answered again all the wrong answers. and jumble them by that time im getting 86% per 50 questions. On Kaplan trainer, i'm getting 58, 62%.. they are lower than 65% that's my first try, On second try after i've answer qbank, it improves a bit, i'm getting 78% 75%. sofort.. I think if you understand the nature of the test and what is asking, you will pass. Build your foundation first, try saunders then go to kaplan. Make notes, post them on your wall, my room is full of papers hanging on the wall i should have pictured it before i've removed it today so you can see. (lol).

I PASSED!!!!! 4th times a charms. Heres how
congratulations to you,

Finally!
Hello guys, i looked up my name today on caBON, and i've passed! whoa! i did pass....i can't believe it after 1 year of studying.. *sigh*, 3rd time is a lucky charm.. . I've tried the web trick and it did work. How i did it? O.k let me share with you my so called experience. First time i took the exam, i review the saunders book and a lot of other books. Then after 3 months i went to take it. I Failed, probably bec. of too much books it didn't really get to my head. Second, i follow saunders plan, i did really good job on answering questions and answers on saunders..now i have a good foundation on knowledge but lack of taking strategies and nature of the NCLEX EXAM!, i went to take it and still failed. 3rd time. I stick to saunders book, and compare to kaplan book. I enrolled on Kaplan qbank only. I finish all the test, and all the wrong answers and answered them again and then jumble them all and answer again. What i have observed it's bec. of the nature of questioning on kaplan qbank or trainer they are the same with nclex exam, since they usually ask for MOst appropriate, best, most most most..etc. it gets to my head the way the nclex questioned your analysis/application level which when i was on the test i don't even used the strategies since the question is relatively the same. It's like answering while reviewing :-)! Practice! practice! practice Nclex type question, and after all your review of kaplan and saunders and you think you are good to go, try answering questions you haven't answered, like nclex 4000 (i downloaded on nurseslibrary.com) and see if you are really doing good, i'm getting at least 60% which is good for me bec. this is only on basic and knowledge level...i guess .more soo..study the rationale of all the questions thats the MOST important parts. If you are confuse visit this site and ask. Thats it. Thank God now i'm an R.N! yooohooo.. ba

I cant afford Kaplan! Help!
practice a lot of questions, start with saunders and if you are getting at least 75, then proceed to kaplan questions, it's more close to nclex q. i found this website where you can download free softwares and free bullets nclex questions, you can also put your review materials and share it to others, make sure to register to be able to input your review materials. nurseslibrary.com i think.

Lab values not the same!!
Don't memorize the values, know at least the range and what will happen if it's low and if it's high, they won't ask whats the normal value on nclex. :-)

NCLEX PLS HELP! =( PLS...confused...
what state did you apply? if you apply for california, your ATT must be valid for 1 year. in other states it's 3 mons. Regarding your fingerprinting, it's still valid bec. either livescan or paper will do as long as you have submitted them. Regarding your test, if you want to take it in the phillipines, the one that is responsible to that is Pearson Vue. You submit your application to that state and you still have to wait 2-3 weeks for the response saying you are good to go, then after that - you apply for the test on pearson vue and put your testing center -(in Philippines,) if you don't find philippines i think you have to call them and tell them your testing center. For more questions go to international nursing on this website. Gudluck, mabuhay!

Room assignments help
thanks for the reply, but isn't that if 1 is immunosupressed he should have his own room since even theres a clean client in that room , there's a tendency he will get something from that client.. how about on answering, if they ask which pt. should be together. Do you choose the clean to clean or infectious to infectious. There was once situation that both are clean and infectious, when i choose the infectious the answer was clean to clean. anyone getting my point? lol

Room assignments help
i'm having hard time classifying who should both go on the same room, on the four selection i can eliminate those are stable or non infectious, but how to group them i'm having a hardtime. example, there is two infectious pt. so i put them on the same room, but the answer was the patient that are non-infectious should go together, don't you separate the infectious or immunusuppress pt. to others since they are easily targeted or low immune?.what answer should you choose to separate infectious should go together or non-infectious. can anyone give as much EXAMPLE who should go together? Thanks.
