congats tina, good for you.. i failed my rn exam 3 days ago. I wonder, do I have to wait for the official notice or shall I go ahead and re-apply (with Vermont by the way)? Again, I'm happy for you.

Yeah, you're right..Well I guess it's the volume of nurses nowadays. Imagine 19,000 plus new RNs ( I belong to Dec06), the interns, the underboard volunteers, all crowding Manila hospitals. And not to mention AGE as qualifying factor (bad news to second coursers) . I had my share of elbowing(so to speak) my way to the HRs. All the same remarks.. we will call you for an exam after evaluation of your papers. Yeah right.. Most US Sponsors are asking for at least 6 months experience. Good thing Im still waiting for my ATT. No luck yet..ANYONE HAS TIPS ON HOW TO GAIN ENTRY LEVEL HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES??? Even volunteer job isnt eazy to get nowadays., How about trainings with pay, as long as we get a cert, anybody??

to all nurse wannabees, I was in the same shoes in May 2005, looking around for a school to accept me as a second courser in Nursing.. Found out about St. Dominic Savio College near SM fairview. All in all, spent about P200th.. Here I am, just passed the December 06 NLE and now a registered nurse.. Give them a call. Got about 5 balikbayan classmates, dint even bother to march for graduation.

I understand it's the only route suited for me, a new graduate without experience..question: are there org still nominating for occupational training? should I apply direct to them? or are there agencies? thanks and congrats to this forum. derek
