  2. I too have to take this test next month...ace exam 1 not 2. What was ur score for the test???
  3. wow!! I grad. Dec. 14,2007. Got my ATT Dec. 17. tested Jan.3,2008. Got result this am. I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. One day in the future, LPN will be an associates degree. RN's will hold BSN's or higher.
  5. We have been in class now for 6 months, So far it been going pretty done GOOD!! only have 6 more months to go!!
  6. If you like small towns, sitting at home and do not want a good quality of life, well this place is perfect.
  7. You can do it!! Right now you are just feeling a little over whelm. Just wait until your first week or two of school before you make any decision. Try it out and see!!! You can do it !!!
  8. For one thing I know for sure is: (1). to make my soon to be profession respected and to be taken seriously by other professionals. That is what I hope I and other SPN and LPN can bring to the table. What I expect from my assoicates is to keep me abreast with up coming changes or advances in this profession. Just for starters.
  9. I am a LPN student. I am a member of NAPNES. I joined in December .
  10. What part of Tennessee did you live in?? I am from Memphis (34yrs) just recently moved to Clarksville. Tennessee is not a rainy state from the places I lived, well I am speaking of Memphis and Clarksville as far as I can see. If anything Memphis is a hot and dry pladce to live.:smiletea2:
  11. The test taking skills section is just a tool that help the teacher to better understand your testing ability. It should help you in the future if anything!!!!
  12. abrainerd you have an excellent GPA, but remember you are competting against other with high GPA as well. Yes take it over if, you want to get in this program. Do not take this lightly and let your NET be your down fall. This test should have been easy for you!! I think you might have been nervous. You can do it!!! Retake the NET you owe it to yourself:smiley_ab . You can bet them.
  13. Your percentile should be pretty good, at least in the upper 90 percentile. Unless other's scored higher. It all depends on how well other performed. My score is 82% and my percentile rank was 98. 99 is the highest.
  14. abrainerd your GPA has you in good standing but I would call the school just to be sure of your NET scores .
  15. Why do they require you to take test if it has no bearing? Just check with the school. Trust me if they require you to take the NET it has a purpose. Your GPA is good but if they have to choose between you and another student with the same GPA the student with the higher NET score might get the seat. I am just saying. I would find out how much weight the NET score carries so far as getting into nursing school. It might not matter.
  16. You passed, but your scores are ok. My composite pencentile score was 98. It depends on how well others will score on the test and how many people who took the test that day. You are in the middle well you scored better than 48 people out of 100 who had taken the test??? I think that's how it goes. Call the testing center. Their infomation should be on your test score paper. GOOD LUCK!!!
  17. wow!!!!!
  18. Congrats to you and your daugther and good luck!!:biggringi Keep us posted!!!
  19. Is it hard finding a job in the state you live as a LPN/LVN??? Just wanted some feedback. Also once you graduated how long did it take for you to find a job??? Be Honest!!
  20. MoonieLove, if PurifyMe can over come this hey there is no excuse. It sounds like you have had a rough time but you have your health. Get out there and get started. You can do it. You have your LPN, maybe you can do some of your classes on lines. Once you have your baby take time to care for your baby and recover. Remember this is a blessing. Stop beating yourself up. You will get where you want ;:Melody: just give it some time. Believe in yourself.
  21. Yes, I plan to pursue my RN. First I have to finish this program. I know if I wanted to I could start now. I rather be making some M-O-N-E-Y while I am pursing my degree in nusing. By the way TheCommuter how do I start this LPN brigde to RN once I am finish and have passed my boards.
  22. Thank you so much. I agree with you. I never played the nurse vs. tech game, until now. I got caught up in this mess. This is not me. See you are the kind of nurse I use to work with everyday and enjoyed every minute of it. You are not caught up in a title. I so agree with you, we are a team, techs and nurses are both needed. Please lets STOP This. Yeah some techs think their the most important person in the room and their are some nurses who think their the most important person. We are not ,the patient is!! LET'S JUST GET ALONG!!!
  23. hey everything will be just fine. Take this time to recover. You have plenty of time to study for your test. Take care and good luck:smiletea2: !!
  24. Let's just face it here, Surgical tech are the only person besides the surgeon in the room that has had formal training. The only person in the room that is considered OJT is the nurse. Nursing schools need to focus more on offering this course as a part of the program. Please do not say she has some nerves, be honest surgical techs have been educated just for this job. Surgery is a techinal field. I love nurses and yes they are needed in the operating room, yes they have an higher education so far as patient care is consider, and yes patient care is important in the Operating room, but you have two indiviual who with 12+ years education regarding that( surgeon+anthesia etc.). Please let's stop this Nurse vs. Tech. Because when it all boils down to it, the doctor really do not care who is in the room with him/her, just along as the case is ready when their ready and the person is capable of doing their job. He would not care if casper the ghost brought the patient in the room and woody woodpecker set the case up!!!! Nurses are great ,so are CST!!! we are a team.
