I just wanted to thank you all for the love and support. My pregnancy is a blessing and so is me making it this far in nursing. Hello everyone, This is how I feel! Wasted! Why I feel like this is kinda my fault but then a again everything happens for a reason. If only I knew why at this time and how to fix it? My situation: Finished Nursing school in August 05, took boards in september and got license in October. It took me till May 06 to get a Job and start working at a correctional facilty through a staffing agency. something I really didn't like. Then maybe a month later I found out I was pregnacnt, three months after I was put on bed rest and had to stop working. Now I am Nine months Pregnant and ready to give birth but, it seems like I have wasted my whole career away. Not saying Im not happy about my pregnancy, because I am it's just I feel like I know nothing now. If put in a hospital I would probably freeze up and not know what to do. It took so long and what felt like eternity to get out of school and then to find a job, I think it will never happen. It will be like repeating all of 2005-2006 over. I thought about going to school to do a RN bridge program, but it kinda seem useless. A new baby, school, and trying to find a job . Man I just really don't know what to do! I really needed to vent! Sorry so long.

Hello everyone I took someone's advice and tried a agency who asked me if I can work correctional facility. Me being a new grad LPN and desperately looking for a job, I jump on it. Now I'm awaiting my background check to come back. Hurry, hurry hurry up! I want to know what a typical day is for a LPN in a Correctional Facility is like? No, you Guys I have Not find a job yet still waiting. I did put in more applications and some are duplicate. My husband is really riding my nerves though. He don't understand that I am trying. He said "Being in health care there is a lot of jobs out there." "And they are desperate for Nurses". Yeah I know just not me. How about you try something else like in Administration. I graduated out of another state than where I am now, so all of my classmates were offered jobs where we did clinical at. I tried a nursing home but she said "It wouldn't be fair giving a new grad so many meds to pass." I am dressed very professional, so I know that is not a problem. Maybe I'm not impressing them at my interviews I don't know. Any advice?

Hello everyone I don't know what's the matter with me. I cant seem to get hired:madface: I have been out of school for 7 months and got my licence in October. I got them endorsed to another state in November and I Have been looking for a job since December. I've had 3 interviews and no response from any of them. Well one said that it wouldn't be fair to hire me and put me on a hall with 20 something patients with no experience:o .I kinda understand why they don't want to hire new grads but how am I to get experience if no one wants to hire me. Its hard especially with my husband on my back asking when will I go to work, when will I get a job to help out financially:angryfire . He just don't understand and I'm sick of hearing him and other people ask me am I working yet and Why. I only have my mother who is behind me 100%, she keep saying "God is testing my faith and it will come". I just wish it would hurry up. This is long enough. My question is How long did it take some of you guys to find a job after getting your license? or am I the only one. I'm really tired of looking, I kinda want to give up! Sorry so long, I need to vent!

My aunt has told me a lot of stories. The one that comes to mind is a man who came to the hospital with a cuumber in his rectum and his partner who was a woman had a beer bottle in her lady parts. Please tell me how? How do you keep your cool, from laughing :rotfl: or asking how in the H@@@ or why ?

Okay You guys got them all 1) the boy's OR doctor was is mother. When we think Doc, we think man. 2)yes, the man was a midget and could not reach pass the 4th floor. 3)you can't bury a man if he burns up in a plane that blew up. 4) First the man gets the duck, then goes and get the bag of corn, takes the duck back with him and then pick up the fox. Take the fox over to where the bag of corn is. Then he goes back for the duck. Fox is left with the corn because foxes don't eat corn.

DON'T QOUTE ME! This may not make sense But i was told by a person in the program that it is accredited only in the state of Florida. So I guess it is not nationally accredited and in that case not worth it. If we are talking about the same cc, I would not go there. I not trying to down the school. It's a great school but some programs are not all up to speed. They also have a waiting list out the ying yang(butt). Just really look into it before you commit! I don't know if you guys have heard these but here goes: 1) A father and his son was on there way to a base ball game. After the game, the father and son was in a accident. A very bad car accident. the father dies on scene, but the little boy was rushed to the ER. The doctors and nurses was to ready take him to OR. When the little boy arrived the doctor says: "I can't operate." He's my Son. How can that Be? 2) A man live on the 1th floor and has a job on the 9th floor, but every morning when he gets up at 5:00am he goes to the elevator and press the 4th floor , and gets off. Then he walks the stairs the rest of the way to work. Why? 3) A man was taking a trip from the U.S to Canada on a plane, the plane blew up on the boarder line. Where did they bury the man? a very one one: 4) A man had a bag of corn, a fox ,and a duck and he had to get all three across a river on a boat. But only one at a time. Which one did he take first and so on? I know these riddles might be old or even corny but I had to try? Let the ones that don't know have a chance. I will post the answer later. moonielove :)

Do you know about these three schools: Reid State College(Atmore,Al) Faulkner state(Bay Minette, Al) LBW Community College(Opp,AL) I'm in Fl right now but want to find a school that has the Lpn program that is accerdited.
