Many teachers will give you the syllabus ahead of time. What is wrong with catching up on reading?

More tests is better. Gives you a chance to increase your grade if you bombed one.

If you got the syllabus of any classes pick the class that you think you will have the hardest time with and start reading. Will be easier for you in the long run.

Wakeup at 6:30. Eat breakfast out the door by 7:30. Drive for an hour. Sit in class for 3 hours. Study at the library for 2-3 hours. If exam for 5 hours. Then go home relax and study more. We had about 3-4 quizzes a week and an exam every week as well. All in all not that bad. Weekends would relax do some work go to the beach...

I was planning on applying for CRNA school in May 09. I already took my GRE and my ACLS cert. I went to the Director of the program to ask a question about my transcript and she notified me that the program still had a few spots left. She told me to apply! My heart jumped into my throat... I went home that day full of hope. Filled out the application and handed it in along with my transcripts. Got an interview shortly thereafter and the acceptance letter. This was the best sequence of events that has ever happened to me. It made my year to get into anesthesia school!! (especially since the deadline for applications was nov 07 and I came to talk in January of 08!)

You misunderstood my question. I am not interested about anesthesia school for the army or navy. I am interested about the role of a CRNA in the various branches and how they compare and contrast.

Hey everyone, Is there a real difference between being a CRNA in the air force vs army vs navy? I am assuming that a CRNA in the Army can work in a Forward Surgical Team while also operating in a standard army hospital. How does the job differ for AF and Navy CRNA's? Thanks, rich

Wow way to generalize the entire state by 3 cities out of many. We have a few towns ranked in the top 100 towns to live in in the country. Many towns have very low crime and a nice New England feel. And it is close to the best city in the world, new york city!

I am in a new grad in the CSICU @ a large facility, and I love it. Great experience, great people, and real acute. Some days are slow and some days are non stop you never know what will happen. I say go for it :)

I just took the NCLEX this morning and consistently scored 99% passing on the CAT. With a difficulty level of .387. Anyways I left the NCLEX this morning feeling as if the CAT made me over confident. The stuff the CAT tests you on is more physiological and fundamental. While the NCLEX is all weird crap like what has more magnesium in it, beans, or fish. (Not the actual question so dont worry )

Just finished the NCLEX. Took 76 questions not 75, and I am sure I failed.If i was doing well why wouldnt it have stopped at 75? It is just that so many questions i could have picked all of the answers and I had alot of trouble narrowing them down. I just don't know, I definitely don't feel like i passed. Both the Mosby CAT and Kaplan were easier than this. UPDATE: I passed :) All that worrying for nothing!

Maybe someone who took the NCLEX can elaborate. They probably have question that are like a person with TB should be on droplet precautions and not contact or standard.

I got the MOSBY CAT and have scored 94-99% of passing. I am pretty confident now! :)

I went to nursing school at Univ of MD. I scheduled myself for this Thursday Jan, 4th. And I have only prepared since the 29th of Dec. I decided to take a plunge and take the NCLEX before my cruise... Hopefully I made the right choice! I felt confident that taking it sooner rather than later would be more beneficial because I still have alot of stuff in my head! Thanks for the replies. I just wanted to know how my results on the practice exams might translate into the NCLEX.

Hey everyone, I have been doing the Lippincott and Kaplan practice exams and have a small range that I always fall into for results. On kaplan using their 2007 book i get 69-70% correct. While on the lippincott cd-rom i get in the high 70% Range. I am just wondering how this plays out when i go to take the NCLEX? Also on my schools pre-rn exam given by ERI, i recieved a 70 (With the national average being a 58 and school average a 60). I am just worried as everyone usually is... and i just want some reassurance. If it is known that scoring a certain percentage like 60 or 70% and above means you are well off for the NCLEX please inform me! Thanks
