  1. I'm a acute HD nurse for two years. I enjoy dialysis, but I was also concerned about being in such a specialized area of nursing. I've always had an interest in critical care nursing. I transferred to the ICU six months ago to train. I work FT in the ICU and continue to do PRN in acute HD. I think this was a great decision to train in two different specialities and I feel that I have the best of both worlds.
  2. Snoopy, The mosby CAT is an online test. You go to the mosby site, choose your selection, and pay for it using a cc or debit card. After you pay, you will be given a test ID number and you choose your password. You can take unlimited test for 30days. To me, it was worth the money, b/c I didn't take a review class. You must decide the best way to prepare for yourself. I studied and read alot during school and I always tried to make sure I had a good concept of each area we tested in school....this being said, I graduated Dec 13, 2006 and was tired. I didn't want to study anymore....but I wanted to take the state boards asap. I feel that I was a strong student throughout the nursing program and that I was not going to learn anymore in 6 weeks by reviewing than what I didn't already know. Also, at the end of each semester we were given NLN exams and I always scored well. I decided to use mosby cat to gauge on if I was ready to sit for boards. Each time I took the test, the computer always stopped on 75 questions and I was always given a 94% probability of passing. I took eight of these test the week before boards and it built my confidence up each time. I sat for the state boards on 1/09, had 75 questions, waited 2 days and purchased the quick results, and found out I passed. Hope this helps.
  3. I used the Mosby CAT to practice and it gives a good indicator on your pass rate for NCLEX. This was my only study tool in preparing for the nclex.
  4. Thanks everyone for the support. I love you guys

  7. Hi everyone, I took the NCLEX-RN this morning and the computer shut off at 75 questions. I had a lot of priority, a few delegation, a couple of OB/Peds, several Psych, two dosage calculations, and the rest med surg. WHEW!!!!!!! I felt numb after taking the test.....you just never know how to feel until you get your results. I pray that I passed, b/c I'm ready to move on....... thanks for all of the support.
  8. Thanks to those who responded.....I decided to definitely and with confidence take my NCLEX on Tuesday. I'll keep you guys informed.
  9. Hi everyone, I'm scheduled to take the NCLEX-RN on Tuesday, but I'm afraid and thinking about rescheduling the test. During the past week I've used Mosby CAT to gauge my progress and here are my scores w/probability of passing & difficulty level: 94% 0.228 94% 0.453 94% 0.271 94% 0.362 94% 0.131 94% 0.251 I haven't scored over 94% and difficulty level isn't really improving. Please give me your honest opinion. All replies are appreciated. Thanks:uhoh3:
  10. Hi everyone, I'm using the Mosby CAT to practice for the Nclex. I'm looking for feedback from others that have used or using Mosby CAT. Was this a great indicator for your pass/fail on the Nclex, if so what was your % on these tests? I graduated in Dec 06 and I want to take the nclex soon. Thanks for any info and I absolutely LOVE ALLNURSES
