  1. Can phenergan put you off work under contract? Just wondering b/c had the flu this week and just went to the dr and he says its fine and submitted the form?????
  2. I know exactly what you mean. Surrendering to life for seconds or minutes seems like eternity. I am glad we are sober today.
  3. This is an odd question for me. Are you in some kind of program? I think you need to elaborate some. Do you have a valid script for Xanax?
  4. Ya, I am applying for a job in the same hospital on the sister unit I worked on. My old nurse manager manages that unit and says there is a position if I want it. I will probably start next week if everything goes good. The happy tears are the best tears! I agree with the wedding thing, people look sloppy. That is food for thought ETN. I use to volunteer in my town years ago. It was somewhat overwhelming so I got out of it. I told myself when I retire I will get the my dream volunteer job. Then I was asked yesterday to help volunteer for the towns zoning board. Just maybe I will.
  5. Ya. My program is in full force. It is working. I can let it get to me if I want but really try not to let it. I am a few months in with a recent lifting of my voluntary surrender of my license. Now I am seeking employment. I am headed in the right direction. How are you with being done? I bet 100lbs went off your shoulders!
  6. What state are you in? Just wondering. I hear different requirements all the time. Just keep doing what you are doing. It comes in amd out of my head all the time where this will take me. Are they pressing charges against me? Just try and give it to GOD and do God's will. I know it is hard. It is a struggle for me still to surrender.
  7. Bittersweet! I am happy for you! Only six months into the program here.
  8. Rascal or me ETN?
  9. I am so happy for you! It must be difficult to go back to the floor. I will be going back in a few weeks if everything pans out. I can already identify with that feeling. I have not worked since July. We have jobs though! You have all our support here.
  10. I never knew there was a program out there for nurses. I did not learn in college nor discussed it at work. I have been a nurse for over 2 years. I know that is not long but a person would think they would have heard about this. My employer had a extensive orientation and never discussed nurses abusing drugs. I think there is alot of things that is good about the state program but there is also downfalls. I rather be drug tested once a week for 6 months than to go back to work with a narcotic restriction. Maybe people should have some choices.
  11. I can identify with your sobriety. I will also have 6 months this month. Congrats! I would not know what to think without this site. It has been great. I know no one outside of this site that is a nurse in recovery, so it has given me many blessings.
  12. I called them right away! Ill try not to worry.
  13. I forgot to call my number yesterday with Christmas on the brain. This is the first time. I did not get selected my missed call in day the board said when I called them first thing this morning. I am getting ready to ask for my license back Feb 2. Any imput?
