  4. I took Rachel Weaver last Summer at Kingwood...it was a fast 6 week course but was NOT difficult at all!!! She was really FUN and also she teaches in the Nursing program there. I would recommend her hybrid course 4-sure!!!!
  5. I got in the RN Transition Program at Montgomery with a 11.34 score... My ONLY choice!!! Any one else in this program?
  6. As a new grad LVN ~first job- made $18.00/hr SNF 6 months later a little smarter, and at a new SNF now making $19.50/hr :yeahthat:
  7. There is a HESI study guide in each of the Libraries on campus- and they will check them out to you for 2 hours...enough time to make quick copies of the math and reading sections!!! Good Luck!!! New Grad LVN from Montgomery...let me know if I can HELP~~~
  8. I graduated this past May, and I have since been working in a LTC/ Skilled Nursing Facility- on the 10-6 AM shift. I trained at first on the day shift for about 2 weeks. I can tell you that the night shift has allowed me the extra time to learn and experience many things. I am very lucky to work with one of 2 very seasoned Nurses -who have taken me under there wing. I also have brought many skills and ideas (and my PDA...LOL) to the table as well!!! I am the Charge Nurse with about 60-65 Residents per shift, Treatment Nurse, as well as Med Aide at night. WE all work well together and have a great team at night!! It just takes time to get used to the change in sleeping habits. I wouldnt change a thing!!!!!!!
  9. ...to ALL!!! I would like to say that this has been one of the most exciting and rewarding things that I have ever done for myself and my family~~ in choosing NURSING !! I graduated this past MAY 2006, tested in June, and have been employed FULL TIME since July as an LVN !!! What a WONDERFUL experience this has been!! I hope each one of you are also blessed, and have the same learning experince that I have had. Good luck to all "BABY' NURSES!!! :wink2: :mortarboard: :studyowl:
  10. I did the same thing, BUT quick results will not be there until 48 hours from the time the test was actually scheduled with Pearson...and I mean not a SECOND before!!! The waiting is sooooooooo horrible...I know!!!
  11. I graduated from Montgomery VN program In MAY. Will transition next Summer... Good Luck to you!!!
  12. Oh I felt the very same way last Thursday after taking the NCLEX!!! The following 48 hours were terrible as well!!! All I could think about was how I would tell ev1 that I had Failed the test and where I would possibly scrape up another $200.00!!! BUT on SAturday I found out that I PASSED IT!!! I too had 85 questions with sooo many DRUGS and prioritization questions. I felt as if I was simply guessing on some of the questions. BUT you will see that you too will PASS and ~~~~~~~ BLOSSOM INTO A NURSE!!! :flowersfo
  13. Here in Willis you can walk in to the Willis Emergency Clinic and for about 25.00 get it done. They are all really nice there!!! What program/ campus are you attending in this area?
  14. I also graduated in May. I took my test last Thursday and found out Saturday that I passed!!! I simply wanted to get the whole thing behind me and be able to go to work. I had 85 questions that took 2 hours to complete. The sick feeling will not go away from the time you get the ATT until you actually see "PASS" on the results page!!! BUT oh what a WONDERFUL FEELING when you realize that your DREAM has come TRUE!!! I am still excited about it!!! I applied for my first NURSE position this afternoon. It was so neat to write LVN on that application. SO~~~ just schedule the test and know that you are SMART and you WILL do this!!! Best of LUCK to you!!! Tammy.
