  1. In the surrounding counties you have a plethora of LPN-RN programs available at the CC level and Temple now has an online RN-BSN available as well. LPN-RN-BSN is a smart route for your family.

  3. I signed up for the upcoming 2 weekend programme at Perfect CNA, 10-2 in Jax I'm also going to start watching the CNA skills videos posted on here to get a good start.

  7. I'm hoping to get into the Feb 23 CNA class and it will wrap up April 17 or so, it's mostly online and then 1 week of training and 1 week of clinicals in the nursing home.

  9. 36k seems excessive for an LPN programme!! That's an entire year's salary unless you have 2 jobs. Orlando Tech is one option as well as a programme in Kissimmee by TECO http://www.teco.osceola.k12.fl.us/programs/health/nursing.aspx

  15. it's a great program, i just had a friend graduate from them in may 06, and she had a full scholarship, she now works for a Jeff hospital and will be for 2 years
  16. school has been crazy but i'm hanging in there. my a&p class is going really well and so is my math, can't say the same for psychology. but i'm hanging in there :chair:
  17. though they may be good students, a good percent of nursing students do not qualify for aid. not everyone wants to be in the military, thus negating any help from uncle. grants are only available in increments that fin aide "think" you deseve based on income or merit. some people don't qualify on income or merit. woorkstudy can be a iffy, especially if you are doing a four year degree which costs money and you're only making 5.15 to 7 p/h and can only work 20 hours max per week. which leave loans. not everyone is afforded the same opportunities to pursue their degree(s). many take different paths and one should never compare their situation with someone elses.

  22. hey anna, thanks so much, i'm doing math, english, psych, intro to comps and one more but can't remember the name of it for the life of me. i have two more weeks and i'm counting down the days until july 7
