Tested Positive for THC at a Pre Employment Drug Screening
They don't have to prove it. They won't give you schedules or do not hire you.

LPN to RN/ADN Bridge?
It depends on where the OP lives. I can do this except for a few things such as initial assessment (I know how to do it but can't do it legally), IV-push, and other things.

LPN to RN/ADN Bridge?
If you don't have problems financially, try to apply to the RN Program. If it's possible, get into the BSN program.

TEAS - Micro or A&P2
I can't recommend anything, but I will share my experience with you. When I took TEAS and HESI, I completed all required prerequisites for the RN program. I didn't review with ATI. I took TEAS a month later from the last courses I completed. I asked my professor if I could pass TEAS. She was sure I could pass it. Then again, she knew my academic records. I gambled whether I could measure up to their required cut-off (72% or higher). If I didn't pass it, I would review it and do it again. Know your school policy about retaking TEAS.

Hope for bullying?
I had one before. I asked if she wanted to help me or humiliate me. She didn't expect I'd say it.

Do you regret becoming a nurse?
Despite the cons of being a nurse, no, I would start earlier if I knew nursing was a good fit for me. I graduated in July 2022 and have been working since then. Now, I'm in the LPN-RN program and expect to graduate in 2024.

Am I going backwards? I wonder if I am making a mistake.
I wish I had listened to the wise people who told me this when I was in my 20s. I hated myself for allowing him to dominate my time. I gave up a few opportunities so I could fit into his life. Never again.

What is the most hurtful thing a coworker has said to you?
Not a coworker. I hope not. But, I can share this with you. A few kids were taunting me for being motherless. I was barely in grade school. My mother died at an early age. I was very upset to the point I wished their moms died too. One of them lost her mom when we were teenagers. I didn't feel good about what I wished. I actually felt bad. The person who died was my mother's best friend. She was like a mother to me. Her daughter was something else. Anyway, in adulthood, most of them are depressive or worried. Their parents are getting sicker. All I have hope for them they get through that pain.

Phasing Out ADN?
RN is an RN where I live.

Phasing Out ADN?
I'm an LPN and working in the step-down unit in a hospital. I don't have any associations in that hospital. The only I had with them, was I trained with them during nursing school. I haven't complained about not getting enough hours. Anyway, I don't know where you're all located. If the ADNs, RNs, LPNs, and LVNs do not find a job, it means we don't have problems with staffing. Right now, my phone is bloating from messages to work so they wouldn't be short-staffed.

Do I appeal? Jersey college failed out from HESI Exit
The rule is bad, not the dean. Your dean usually knows the rules and doesn't want to get in trouble legally. The state is something people do not want to make enemies with. Anyway, there's nothing they can do about it as the state requires the school to have a decent average. Maybe 75% or 80%. The BON would end the accreditation of that school if they kept failing on the first try of their NCLEX.

Of course, they have no say in your school's average since the state does not allow them to use anything to gauge the readiness of their students. I'd rather have a school that fails me right at the initial of the program than have me finish the program and struggle to sit for the board exam. That's a waste of time.

Hospital Bosses Ignored Months of Doctors' Warnings About Lucy Letby
I will use drug addicts as a metaphor. They seek drugs because of the euphoria or pleasure. It is the same for the killers who find killing pleasurable.

Please, I need your insight.
Go for the LPN to RN program. Don't worry about your experience. That is not a determinant of success in the RN program. You will acquire experiences. Don't worry about it. We all started from zero. I'm with RN students. Many of them do not have medical experience. Others are MA and EMT. They are doing good. I'm (we are) about to start Med-Surg II. I didn't tell my classmates anything about me, and they figured it out. They saw me passing meds and hanging piggyback IVs while my preceptor took care of other things. One of the professors is a clinical director where I'm employed. FYI, I always tell my classmates, those who want to tag with me, that I only have one year of experience so expect less from me.

They talk out of their anal cavities a lot.

Phasing Out ADN?
I'm an LPN who works in the step-down unit. I had no prior experience. So far, there has been no issue. They said that "the unit rarely hired an inexperienced nurse." I started in the med-surg unit and was transferred to the step-down unit.
