  1. While I do feel like he is jerk. I read the story and we don't know all of it, nothing ever is right about punching a nurse, but it does not even state if she was able to make decisions for herself. Do we know if she was able to give consent?
  2. I wouldn't worry about it. That poster has a clear hate of people from Texas or FL. Don't give people that hate your time.
  3. Most of our state has a mask mandate, though that is not the bigger issue, the bigger issue is every time a few cases breaks out, the school board wants to shut the school down. My friends kids has no idea one week to the next if they are going to school that week or not.
  4. I don't claim to have "done my research" I will tell you that I have read everything put out by Pfizer, Mondera and J&J on the vaccines, on their website, along with the CDC And WHO, and the WHO again still shows that most people who get COVID have mild or moderate symptoms and that most recover. The WHO also says don't wear a mask while exercising. So which one carries more weight? from the WHO mythbusters page FACT: People should NOT wear masks while exercising People should NOT wear masks when exercising, as masks may reduce the ability to breathe comfortably. Sweat can make the mask become wet more quickly which makes it difficult to breathe and promotes the growth of microorganisms. The important preventive measure during exercise is to maintain physical distance of at least one meter from others. FACT: Most people who get COVID-19 recover from it Most people who get COVID-19 have mild or moderate symptoms and can recover thanks to supportive care. If you have a cough, fever and difficulty breathing seek medical care early - call your health facility by telephone first. If you have fever and live in an area with malaria or dengue seek medical care immediately.
  5. Even John Hopkins says it can take anywhere from one to 10 years for clinical trials. So maybe that is where they got that, some vaccines have taken several years for the clinical trails. At least look up the information first.
  6. I solemnly pledge myself before God and in the presence of this assembly to pass my life in purity and to practice my profession faithfully. I shall abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous, and shall not take or knowingly administer any harmful drug. I shall do all in my power to maintain and elevate the standard of my profession and will hold in confidence all personal matters committed to my keeping and all family affairs coming to my knowledge in the practice of my calling. I shall be loyal to my work and devoted towards the welfare of those committed to my care.” Florence Nightingale Pledge I submit that talking bad about patients, making fun of them, putting down other nurses regardless of whether they are right or wrong does not elevate the standard of this profession. And for all those that will whine well neither does telling people to not take the vaccine. I am not talking about them, I am talking about you. Are we kids now? well he did or she did so there.. really??
  7. And those that make fun of them and beat them down. I have had a few ask me are you one of the nurses on Twitter and facebook making fun of folks not getting the vaccine, not wanting to take the shot? I tell them no, I am not here to yell at you, talk down to you, be ugly to you, it is your decision. I actually don't tell people to get the shot, just in case, they are one of the few that die from the shot, so I stay impartial. It is just a fact that a few do die from the shot, as they do from all vaccines, I just don't want to deal with the fallout of family afterwards were that to happen. First do no harm, and shouting down those that don't want to get the shot, be snidely to them on facebook and Twitter and behind their backs, sometimes to their faces, making fun of them that is doing harm, you can paint that picture any way you want, that is the basic truth.
  8. Does any one even know the true numbers of COVID? You don't because there are probably tens of thousands of people who got it, and never went to the hospital. I am not saying that it is not serious for some, but I bet that true number of infection is much higher, which means the survival rate is much higher. Not to mention, have you ever done a drive thru test? I have, they give you a swab that goes up your nose, do you know the failed percentage rate of those that don't sick up their nose far enough and get a false negative rate, when they have it? No, you don't I don't either. But I have meet 2 or three people now that have told me they found out later through some of other means that they had COVID and they did not even know it. Israel did a study that shows natural immunity is 33 times stronger than the vaccine, when Dr. Facui was asked about this study all he could say was well I will have to look into it and get back to you on that, when he was asked about natural immunity. But everyone needs to get the vaccine? What about those with natural immunity?
  9. Yes since vaccinated people still get and die from COVID
  10. No free to believe in what they think it right. I do agree though that they assume all responsibilities if they leave.
  11. Again I blame mainstream media. Every time they do a story to talk about how FOX News is pushing it, they call it a horse de wormer, and while it is also that, they know full well FOX is not talking about the horse one, so people think oh that will work, let me go buy it. I have actually had to tell people that Fox news is not pushing that one, in the office, and they don't believe me because CNN or MSNBC or Seth Myers said they were. I said please if you are going to think about even trying to get it, please look at the actual article from FOX and not take the word of some other station, it could cause you serious harm, that amount isn't meant for humans it is not save. Please CNN stop getting people sick by spreading misinformation. Regardless of whether it works or not, cleared or not, you are not even informing people of the right drug, and they should be ashamed of that.
  12. From what you say it sounds like they voted for Trump and you point out that they have money. PLEASE tell me you know a lot of democrats are wealthy as well. Including the top richest people in America. AL Gore's money came from oil. Why do people always put rich and GOP in the same sentence? Have they bothered to look up how much democrats make? Were Obama's family now lives? How much CEOs (mostly liberals make). I have a few members of my family not talking to me because I believe it is a person's choice, but they are democrat, so I guess it depends on who you ask. I am sure everyone has those strained family stories now.
  13. Honeybee that is a good way to be. I have not had anyone against the vaccines be rude to me, but I have seen plenty of people for the vaccines shot, get aggressive and start and raise their voice to someone not for the shots. I live in an area where if you are against the shot, you just have to keep your mouth shut. Though I learned that early on, a long time ago. Independent voters and conservatives are are few and far between where I live, so even around my friends or just people out I don't voice that I think it is up to every person if they want the shot or not, I don't want to get yelled down for it.
  14. I live in a big city, and absolutely not mask are required, as they should be.
