  1. Hi Rachel, I did both didactic and clinical work. It was a great experience.
  2. Yep, I second this for all incoming students. Join the group....
  3. I applied to Wilkes last week. Talked to ------------------- and he was amazing answering all my questions. I will say that I applied for FNP but have 12 years in mental health and keep second guessing my decision. For those applying for PMHNP, what made you choose it, besides the obvious?
  4. I agree.... didn't like the two classes at a time either but the preceptor option is hard to beat. I spoke with -------------------- today at Wilkes and he was absolutely amazing answering all my questions.
  5. Just today I spoke to someone from Chamberlain. I am also looking at Spring Arbor and Wilkes University. Any other FNP programs that should be viewed?
  6. Is this program a BSN-FNP? If so, how long is the program at Wilkes? Also, what is the support system like? I've heard horror stories about other programs.
  7. What is the estimation length of this program? I have been accepted at Spring Arbor University for their FNP program and its about 2.5 years long.
  8. Is this program BSN-FNP or RN-FNP? I'm finishing my BSN in the next few weeks. Would like to apply right when I graduate.
  9. Yes, it was approved.
  10. I attended University of Delaware RN Refresher program. I couldn't find any in my area and this was completely online. It worked perfectly for my needs and I had a great experience. Highly recommend it!
  11. Hi Amber, I was accepted but decided to delay my start date to get some electives out of the way. I still needed four classes that I didn’t want to add to my main courses. I believe at this point. I will wait until Fall 2021. Good luck on your journey!
  12. This is very helpful! Thank You!
  13. Your post is highly encouraging. Any tips or advice on how to go about the research for the papers? Anything you found helpful in your journey?
  14. Just heard from my advisor who said this was from one transcript that had come in. Still waiting for two more. Whew, I was starting to get worried!
  15. Hi Guys, Just recently applied to Capella, RN-BSN FP. I'm still in the process of finding out what credits will apply. They sent over a sheet earlier that looks like 46.00 credits are possibly eligible. (haven't spoken with my advisor yet) This seems low but I am new to all of this. What are your thoughts? Also, my future goal is to attain my masters. If I decide not to use Capella for this, will my BSN be recognized by other institutions?
  16. Thanks for sending this over!
  17. Do you mind sharing what company you work for?
  18. Wow, how scary! I'm glad you were able to work it out. Now.... to get that financial aid secured! So, If I'm understanding correctly, don't change your specialty once you start the program? I believe I'm set but this makes me pause to contemplate my decision. Its also great advice about asking for a listing of sites and the ability to work remotely. I've looked at so many programs but Capella seems to make the most sense since they offer Flexpath. I appreciate all your advice and feedback. I continue to wish you great success as you wrap up the capstone!
  19. Hey, checking in one more time, how is Capella going? It sounds like you were able to knock out a chunk of classes in record time. I have a phone meeting with an advisor tomorrow. Nervous about taking the plunge but also know its time. Any other feedback or suggestions?
  20. Thank you so much for your response. I did hear about PERRLA so I will download it tonight. APA is a bit unfamiliar so I need all the help I can get. Thanks and good luck with your patho class!
  21. Thank you!
  22. Thank you for this awesome post. I start 1/25 and having a hard time finding people who have attended SAU. This was very informative. ?
  23. Hi, Did either of you attend SAU? I start 1/25 so was curious.
  24. Hi, I know this is an older post but did you end up at Spring Arbor? I start 1/25. Would love any feedback if you have any. Thanks!
