According to allnurses.com rules, I can't post the name of the doctor...I did that once and they deleted that out of my post. He is the only one in Winter Park, FL off the list IPN gives you. He has a German sounding last name and it's two words (like Val Dam)....that's the best I can do I think. Just take a look at the list IPN gives you. And it wasn't expensive. He charged $180. The job search was quite easy actually. I filled out about 25 or so applications through Indeed for anything and everything (lots of LTC) on a Saturday and immediately got calls Monday morning. I had a job by the end of the week. My problem was I said yes to the first people that Monday rather than going through the other 5 interviews I had lined up that week. That place was definitely hard up for nurses but it was work. I'm off on maternity leave now and will be looking for employment somewhere else when I'm ready to go back to work 6weeks or so after the baby is born. And for anyone interested in how pregnancy and IPN works, they're really understanding. I've heard people have crazy amounts of dilute urine from peeing and drinking so much but I never rand across that problem so far and I'm almost done cooking lol. And when she's born, I just submit a monitoring interruption as soon as I can. My case manager made it clear if I go into labor randomly before expected and before I submitted paperwork, to just call and let them know ASAP so they know what's happened and then submit my interruption afterwards. She said typically the interruption is 3-4 weeks or so. But anyway, IPN has been annoying but it's definitely doable. I had them approve me for an office job but because the employer has said i would have 2hrs a week of overtime, they denied me starting there literally the day before I was to start which was very disappointing. But I picked myself up and found something else. Just follow their picky and annoying rules and you'll be fine! Also, as far as disclosing my IPN involvement, I never do it on interviews. I literally wait till the offer is in hand then tell them. This is what I've come up with to say every time "I just wanted to let you know I participate in a voluntary nurse program called IPN that provides resources for nurses who have struggled with addiction in the past. I meet once a week with other nurses in a support group to discuss work life and stressful issues. I have a case manager that calls me periodically to see how I'm doing and she will need to call to introduce herself to my direct manager before my start date of blah blah and, once a quarter, she will email you a work evaluation form so she can see how good of a job I do at work. I'm very grateful to be apart of the program and I wanted to thank you so much for the opportunity to come and be apart of your team. " Super simple and sweet. I don't tell them I do random drug testing cause I don't find it to be a big deal or a hinderance with the job, plus, my case managers says she mentions that in her speech to the employer. I went to a Neuropsych Dr in Winter Park, FL. It was very easy. The 2 tests were completed online. They were multiple choice asking for what the meaning of such and such word is, what adjectives listed describe you (blank or blank), my reaction to a situation described in one word...that kind of stuff. After that, he asked to hear my story after reading the information sent to him from IPN. He concluded that there was no diagnosable disorder (no addiction or underlying psych issues) other than an acute episode of opioid use and made the suggestion of just monitoring. That result from him was sent back to my original evaluator/addiction specialist in Gainesville, FL where he reviewed it and gave his recommendation to IPN as well, which was just what the neuropsychologist said. I'm assuming he sent me to the me there for the personality testing because he didn't find anything pointing to an addiction other than the one time use I admitted too and there just wasn't anything to go on. He was difficult to work with in the evaluation and kept saying that he would just sit there until I told him the truth that there was no such thing as someone only using just once (my situation was I used an opioid and beta blocker from work to counteract the chest pain and heart problems I had been just diagnosed with a week prior after having stayed in cardiac ICU for a week.) Not the best decision on my part as it got me tangled up with IPN. But the neuropsych Dr was amazing, very sweet, understanding and easy to talk too. My contract is only for 2 years and requires just monitoring via random drug testing like everyone else and nurse support group meetings weekly. I did have a 6month key restriction as I was told it's standard for anyone who was referred to IPN for opioid use, however, I didn't have an issue finding a job. I found one and was hired within a week of submitting about 25 applications via Indeed. Yes IPN is annoying but I don't find it that big of a hinderance as there is always a need for nurses, I live in a very populated area and have/will have no trouble finding jobs. And luckily, my contract is very minimal. You do something bad and you have to make up for it, plain and simple. It's a learning experience and then I move on with the rest of my long life. Good question; I wonder too. I'm starting my NP program and I hope the IPN program won't follow me when I'm out. My contract is only for 2 years and I'll be done with the program before I graduate NP school. I don't have anything with the board of nursing though.

So it looks as if this o-792070 panel is the Peth test. By doing a google search, I found results from affinity that were published through a court preceding. I'm pregnant. I sure as hell ain't going to be drinking. Lol. I get having to be picked at random for these new special tests but this is dumb. If their goal is to catch me doing ****, it ain't going to be alcohol. In fact, no drugs! I can't take **** pregnant! Nothing but Tylenol. I pride myself passing all the previous without being called out for dilute urine due to having to pee q1hr. Anywho, check the link below. So I have a question for you; affinity says to check in online to know if you have to test that day, however, all the sites I see don't have screening hours till 7:30am and they all close early. If I work 12hr shift (7a-7p) how am I supposed to go for testing that day? And also, because the nurse support group is every Tuesday at 5:30pm assuming it lasts at least an hour, I wouldn't be able to work a day or night shift on Tuesdays, correct? How are they making it this impossible??!?

IPN contract received; no treatment required! Only 2years monitoring with a 6month key restriction! I'm super happy but I'm nervous about the next step; finding a job!! I have read as far as IPN friendly jobs go, Dialysis is a good place. However, I'm seeing that they require 1 years nursing experience (I only have 3months in ICU and 4years as a tech, not like that part matters). Some SNIFS/LTC places even prefer 1-3years. Any suggestions as to where to look?? And how often and how much do drug screens typically run? Currently broke as all get out

Unfortunately, there is no way I can afford an attorney. Here's an update regarding my situation so far: I have been let go from my job, to be expected. I have no health insurance as of right now. I am moving back in with my mom (I moved from Orlando to Jacksonville this week to be with her) who is being ultra supportive and is helping me pay my bills and all IPN costs. IPN sent me my evaluation options. All the ones in Gainesville work from a non-profit rehab with UF Shands. The doctor closest to me in Jacksonville works for a private for-profit rehab center. Both centers offer inpatient and outpatient services. So I feel like any of them could recommend their own rehab center...I do plan on divulging the fact that I have no income and no job so hopefully they'll have mercy on me, but other than that, I really just hear from all the posts that I need to just do what IPN says. And that's totally fine, I plan on doing whatever it takes to keep my license.

I have been recomended to IPN by my Employer. I called this morning and left a message to self report to IPN. I have a question about the length of the intial starting process, and upfront costs. I have not had good luck finding much information regarding the process of starting IPN. Also, I have been placed on administrative leave by my employer until my drug test comes back, which will be positive for opiotes. Are you able to continue to work in the IPN program? And if so, typically how soon after starting the process? I will need some sort of income to pay rent and the costs of the IPN program.....
