Just an FYI - many employers don't actually enforce the 2-year commitment/contract.

Sorry to hear that so many of you have had to take unsafe 3:1 ICU assignments. Hoping that ICU ratios are back to 2:1 soon!

I'm glad you made the decision to care for your mental health. I know many nurses who have left before completing their residency contracts. The employer has not penalized any of them. Best of luck!

I'm interested in hearing what it's like as a CRNA at the VA as well. Hopefully we get some responses here.

2.5 years ICU - 1 yr in a level 3 trauma center and 1.5 years at a level 1 trauma CVICU. 3.9 GPA, CCRN-CSC, research, and unit-based council. I'm not sure if all the calls went out yesterday or if more calls will be made today and/or tomorrow.

I received a call yesterday afternoon offering me a seat in the program! Best of luck everyone!!

I was also waitlisted. They must have a fairly large waitlist pool.

Has anyone received an interview invite yet?

The interview lasted about one hour for me. About forty minutes for the behavioral question part and the rest of the interview was for any questions I had for the interviewers.

I interviewed last week for the cardiac step-down unit and haven't heard anything yet!
