Does you unit offer any incentives or bonus pay to train/precept new nurses to your unit?

    I get an extra $2/hr when I'm charge in the ED. Trust me, I often pass up the "opportunity" to be in charge because lately, the extra responsibility is totally not worth the extra $16 that I will net for the night.

    But, if you could take the class without being expected to be in charge, it would probably be a good learning experience and one that you could benefit from.

    $1 dollar an hour..for precepting.. as well as charge in the ED.. Most days it does not seem worth it..
