Hi everyone, much help is needed. I have a MSN in education and want to go back for my PMHNP degree. To be accepted into a post masters certificate program I need the 3Ps ( Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Pharmacology and Advanced Physical Assessment). I am not having any luck finding an institution to offer these classes where you are not enrolled in their college of nursing. Can anyone please shed light on where these classes are offered and obtainable. I would so greatly appreciate any help. Thank you

Every nursing masters program includes the 3 P's. You should have already taken them in your MSN program.

That is a recent addition to MSN curricula. If her MSN is more than a few years old, she has not.
OP: try University of Southern Indiana | USI | Bachelor and Master Degrees

I did an MSN in Informatics. The 3 Ps were not part of our program. I believe any non-clinical MSN does not require them.
I just graduated in Dec so it is not across the board required.
The 3P's were not apart of my masters program class, if I had taken them I wouldn't have the problem I am now trying to find the classes.
thank you so much, I will look it the university you provided a link to :)

But they were part of the MSN in Leadership at WGU. They weren't required, I believe, but I do think they were included to be "on the ball" by WGU.
So that is a WGU thing.

You might want to try Drexel or Capella for single /non-matric classes

I too have a MSN-Ed and the 3P were not included in my program either. However, my school DOES offer them for the FNP track option, so I waited it out and returned to my original institution and am taking them there.
I really WANTED to take them through Capella- they are shorter in length and they have a great pass rate- but my school couldn't guarantee that they would be able to accept the credit from them (it was a timing thing, they couldn't guarantee it without doing an audit, and their semester was starting so I had to just enroll and start)
You may want to look into Capella, they were very nice to me, have ongoing start dates, and I could have finished all 3 classes in 9 months. Good luck!
Is the plan that those 3 classes will allow you to get the post masters NP certificate? I would totally do something like that. I assume that is without the clinicals that one has to do. Where I got my masters, they have a 3 class endocrine focus. I was hoping to become an Endo NP.
