I received over 2000 dollars in scholarship money for this year. I don't have to pay a penny for school at this time. I'm so blessed and thank God. I have taken out loans previous semester though and sometimes pay out of pocket if its a cheaper class. Do your fafsa and apply for any and all grants and loans.
thanks for the info why dont you have to pay now but you did the previous semester
I never get financial aid over the summer so I had to get school loans for summer. One fall semester I didn't have a scholarship either and had to get a loan. Sometimes it just happens that way
i see thank you so muchh

Well, when I first started school I had AmeriCoprs money I used. After I had kids and my hubby and I were both in school I recieved pell grants. I have to appeal now because I have too many credits, so the last few classes we have paid out of pocket for. My husband worked summer school this year to pay for fall and spring semester if I don't get financial aid.

Pell grants and a nursing scholarship have covered my tuition for the past two years. I am very grateful for that and I will leave a BSN program without any debt.
So lucky i hope i get one

I have 3 scholarships, maxed out both type of government loans and I still owe my school $1000! we lost $6000 worth of grants because my husband's salary increased. I never buy anything new, my school books were all bought used on ebay and amazon even my nursing shoes. All I can do is keep applying for more scholarships when they become available I am an adult student and have read these forums at nauseum especially the unemployed threads it really bothers me that school is costing so much in such a bad economy but I try to remain cautiously optimistic.
stay optimistic thats what i wwant to hear.

I have enough saved from a job cleaning kennels, I think. If it isn't enough, I plan to get a job as a cna. Some of the earlier classes were paid for with a scholarship from winning a science fair and from working on farms.

I've been paying for school with grants, but as time goes on, it is getting more expensive and time-consuming, so I have applied to start receiving stafford loans to go along with my grants to help pay for school.
