Exactly what it says on the title line... I took and passed the exam this morning. Nervous wreck that I was, I still did far better than I ever expected to do - 142/150!

Happy dancing right now... will be enjoying a nice dinner to celebrate tonight! :D:D:D

Congrats! Welcome to the club. How'd you like the survey at the end? I was pretty much "my cat's name is mittens" by then.

Congratulations! A real achievement.

SWEET! Nice little test, huh? I call it the Trivial Pursuit of Nursing.

Thanks for all the support! You all are wonderful, as always - thank you. :yeah:

MissERN: No, I normally just sign (murphyle), RN, (ID #) at work. However, I do have a handful of presentations I'll be giving in the near future, and I'll be adding a few letters to the credentials in those... :D

emt2brn: The survey was highly amusing, given that A) as you said, I was in "meaningless babble mode" by that point, and the fact that the testing center had the noisiest heating system ever. I figured it wouldn't be any big deal, told the proctor "As long as it doesn't blare 'Activate Resus, adult medical, now' at me, I'll be fine" ;) - and then the thing started making this horrifying ka-BANG-clunk noise every 30 seconds, accompanied by the lights flickering. I marked them way down on "environment conducive to testing." Not doing that again, thanks!

dthfytr: ...and land on Cardiovascular Emergencies for the pie! ST-segment changes in leads II, III and AVF are indicative of which location of infarct? ;) Yes, Trivial Pursuit of Nursing is quite an apt description!

congratulations! I'm studying to take mine as well. Any advice or study techniques you would be willing to share would be greatly appreciated. There are some questions I look at and just scratch my head and think - huh? Is that really a word or did they have Jonny Knoxville help write this book.:lol2:

Review ABGs, backwards, forwards and upside down. Mark Boswell gave some good advice on how to focus on your weak areas, that is, shoot for 70% on the discrete areas on practice tests. If you're there or above, you're set in that area. Then focus your attention on the areas where you score poorly.

Good luck.
