Hello Friends
Please let me know if anyone has any idea if I can work in a different setting than a physician office or a hospital.
All ideas and guidance accepted.

Retail settings like Walgreens, Walmart, and CVS. The health departments here use NPs. Also, many occupational health or college student health clinics.

Retail clinics hire lots of new grads with no experience as do may college campus health centers.

You can do an Internet search for FNP jobs, and get ideas. It's a great way to do some research on jobs out there. Some of the jobs out there can include: home health; corrections nursing; insurance companies; public schools. Just do some of your own research, get a feel for what's out there in the locations your looking at, and see what interests you.

I just started my first job doing wound care rounds in LTC/rehab facilities. There are a variety of nontraditional jobs out there.

I work at a clinic inside Walgreens and they don't require 5 yrs. in fact, they are hiring and training new grads (for 6-10 weeks , I think, which is a great orientation).
Hello Designer NP
Can you please tell me what are the requirements for biometric wellness screening clinic.
Thank you
There are none except for having the ability to see adult patients.
You will counsel them on DM, HTN, weight loss, ect.
What state do you live in by chance? My company performs clinics in many states and you may live in one we cover.
You may be able to apply if that's the case.
