Online BSN

my RN-BSN program is 95% online. they have the goal to have a 100% online program in the near future. you might check them out: Texas Tech University Health Science Center. There is one campus in Lubbock and one in Odessa.

Another program you might check is the University of New Mexico in Albaquerque (spelling?). They might be cheaper. They charge in state tuition for 6 credit hours or less. I am currently researching their program for graduate level courses.

If you think about it you will probably talk yourself out of it I was going to do an online program but like the idea of still being in a classroom i finished my bsn in 2.5 years, I am now 26 I work full time along with my wife and i will be starting anesthesia school in the fall, plus two kids, so don't worry if you want something bad enough it is do-able believe me just set goals and get it done know good luck let me know what turns out nec

my friend recieved his bsn through the university of phoenix, it was 100% online and he completed it in just over a year. Not sure how much though.

Do these programs not require a competency check like the Excelsior program does??

Univ of Phoenix is a lot of money. A lot of local colleges are getting into the online thing or they have one night a week class type deal.

I was all set to go to Univ of Phoenix then some co-workers set onto to Cal State Chico. It's mostly online with the exception of a couple of days during the semester. It will end up costing me about 20k less (Depending on old Gov. Arnold and his budget cuts.).

Rn to BSN programs generally don't require clinical or skill check offs. You're already a licensed RN. I am required to "shadow" a home health nurse however.

has a comprehensive list of nursing schools and those with online completion programs. The prices vary wildly, so be sure and shop around besides looking at the obvious ones , like Excelsior and Univ of Phoenix. Some are MUCH cheaper.

i took an online class at university of phoenix and let me tell you it is way expensive!! it cost just for a 3 credit class $1370. and that is just for one class! also you are required to be on your computer for like 2 hours a day five days a week writing posts to your class and responding to others dicsussions and writing a lot of essays! so if you like to sit at your pc all day and don't mind paying that much per class then check it out.
