That is information that we do not have access to.

Hi MEC.. Do you have any information about a possible waiting list?

They don't have a waiting list per-say. IF you notice the acceptance letters should say provisional acceptance.

Well if someone for someone reason does not take up their spot they will move down the list to the next ranked person until all spots are filled. Normally anyone in that small group would be the last to know their status. So if you didn't get an email at all up to now it could mean that.

They’re online, but synchronous, so you may have to be online at a certain time. I have another 9-5 job right now so my options are limited. I’m taking section 20YN with -------------------.

I took her for micro and ended with a B. It was an 8 week class and the only part that was in person was lab on the weekends. The one thing that bothered me is when we were doing a new lab, she would just tell us verbally what to do vs actually doing it. So people would ask questions and at times it’s like she was so frustrated we were asking. And she speaks quietly so it was hard to understand. I can’t remember her tests that well unfortunately, but she doesn’t want students to fail. I can’t imagine how she teaches online, but If you put in full effort you guys should have no issues getting an A or B!

Has anyone taken Microbiology with ------------------? If so, would you please share your experience?

I'm signed up to take her. We shall see!

Currently stuck between taking --------------- and ------------------ because both reviews on RateMyProfessor aren't good ?

Has anyone taken bio 142 this past semester? What’s being done about the lab? Is it easier being that it’s all online?
should I take it over the Summer? It’s the only pre req class (I know it’s not needed but adds points) I need to take which may improve my chances to get in next semester...

I'm not sure how it would work exactly for the Summer, but I was in BIO142 in Spring in-person. When we went online, we did zoom lectures, which is what it looks like will happen because I looked on SIS and the classes open right now were originally in-person. For lab, our professor sent worksheets with pictures of slides and the models to study from for the practicals and we still did the pre-labs from the manual. Overall it wasn't too different, but it was a lot harder to comprehend compared to doing it in person because I had the same professor for 141 and 142. Still ended with an A at the end though. Hope this helps!

I am having a hard time deciding between ----------------- and --------------------- as well. If anyone has taken ------------------ and has any helpful information as far as what kind of professor he is, I would be greatly appreciative. The reviews for both professors are a bit scary.

I took Bio 142 this past semester and it was a breeze, and easy A. I wouldn't worry too much about taking it over the Summer. The labs were done using photos of the models that we would have had access too in the lab. I think because most of the applicants who were accepted for Fall 2020 seem to have completed all 4 corequisites it would definitely be advantageous to complete Bio 142 this Summer. That's just my opinion though, I know everyone has different things going on this Summer. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Still debating as I have a month old baby, a four year old and full time job ????

Let me know if you end up taking -------------------!

And to anyone else who’s taking Micro with ------------------- this Summer, let me know, I’d love to organize a virtual study group for us. Maybe we could even have a social distance study picnic one day! Sounds like we’ve got another competitive application cycle ahead of us; would love to help us ALL be stronger applicants!!
