Nvcc fall 2016

Hi,

I just need some insight from all of you...I am planning to apply for nursing at NVCC for fall 2016. I have finished all my prerequisites and general requirement with the gpa of 3.7 but my teas score is on the lower side. I still have two chances to take it again but the student services have told me that since I passed I can't take it again. Is it true? If I were to take it again, will the nursing team take my highest score for consideration? Any help will be appreciated! 😊

I haven't gotten anything yet either

I didn't get a rejection email yet either

The real problem is that most of the area hospitals require BSN for hiring and they are limiting clinical a to BSN programs and NOVA can't get preceptorships either.

Did everyone receive the official rejection email? They posted on FB saying that they were sent out but I never received it. Now I have to wait until Tuesday to find out anything.

that post was removed. I just went to get the phone number to called, and its mysteriously gone.

I emailed asking and got a rejection email back haha

I just received the official rejection letter in my email right now. That may be because I emailed one of the contacts from the post on fb that said to contact one of them if my rejection letter was not received. Did anyone else get theirs?

Yea I just got a forwarded rejection email too.

Just got my rejection email yesterday. So crushing but at least now I know for sure. It is beyond ridiculous how long it took.

I unfortunately cannot afford Marymount, I am on a visa that does not allow me to take student loans out and I don't have the money for it. I looked into Shenandoah University and although its like 1.30 hr from Fairfax, their "general studies" to BSN track seems reasonable and somewhat affordable. I think I'm gonna have to wait a full year to be able to make this happen which is super annoying but I guess everything happens for a reason. I haven't looked into Chamberlain but I think I may consider it as well! I have a feeling the Hybrid spring program will be as much of a mess and that everyone that was not accepted into the traditional will be applying to it which will make it just as challenging and competitive. I am almost too discouraged to apply and have lost all hope for NOVA. I asked about their probation status and they said they were "optimistic" it was only temporary...

Hey everyone.. I only briefly scanned this thread and I'm sorry for those of you that did not get in. Keep trying! I just graduated this past May... I am wanting to give away my books from the program to someone who could save some money.. please let me know if anyone is interested!

Hi sweetlexus! I am starting the program in the fall and would love anything that you don't need!

It is disheartening to hear that the NVCC program is such a mess. I am currently taking prereqs and planning on applying for the Fall 2018 program, but it looks like I should start thinking about Plan B. Does anyone know much about Lord Fairfax's program?

I really hope NVCC gets things straightened out soon.
