Good afternoon, to who ever has any suggestions.
A little back round I started a fast track BSN with chamberlain college of nursing(didnt finish) moved to Las vegas.
Got into National University who is being investigated for academic unfairness.(adn program)
I left them because I do not want to graduate from a school with that kind of rep.
I am now waiting for a spot in the second semester at a jr college. (2500.00)
Or I can get into 3 other options kaplan, itt tech, and Everest (all around 40,000.00)
Kaplan and jr college are fully accredited and I can go on for the BSN no problem.
Itt tech and everest are new and my credits may not go any where.
Help what do I do, Wait it out and not worry about accrediation and transfering to get my bsn or take a chance.
Also I would have 1yr with kaplan and csn or 1.5 to 2 years with everest and itt. All my pre reqs and some core classes are done. I need some opinions please and thank you.
Going crazy

Junior college. Don't give for-profit programs your money.

jr college... I would never give for profits my money even if it meant graduating a year earlier. they never have the students best interest at heart.

go to the jr. college get your RN. WHen you start to work , save up some $ or have your employer pay for your BSN and go to a public university.
kaplan, itt places like that are just out to get your money and ur credits dont transfer anywhere. (esp. if you want to get a BSN, or MSN)
good luck to you :)

I would do your homework on all the available programs to see what their accreditation status. You always want to keep your options open for advancing your degree, especially if you are young and have a long career ahead.
The other consideration is the cost of tuition. 40 grand is a lot to pay for a nursing education. If you have to borrow that money, you will be a long time paying it back on a nurses salary.

Well if your up to move there's a bilingual nursing program in Bayamon, Puerto Rico ( school is called Universidad Metropolitana/ Metropolitan University). I have all my general ed classes but comp and west civ which I'm taking now. You can take those classes as well as spanish at a jr college and transfer. For your BSN it should take less than 3 years if you start from the begining since its part-term (8 weeks per quarter semester). The Nursing classes are ALL in english. Very well equipped labs and awesome professors! Its only $170 per credit (yeah no out of state fees!! lol)
