i have not taken the concept three yet, but you can go to any of the yahoo groups that deal with ec or even the ec study group and get some info... have you tried to do a search it on here,, i know there are many people her that have taken it... did you get the free content guide from ec or take the practice test? that should give you a good idea of what to expect.

I use NCLEX prep books as my main basis for study along with the references listed in the study guides for each test. I'll use the prep books to study for the NCLEX anyway, so I'll get double use from them. So far, I've had no trouble in proportion to the amount of effort I've put into studying. Better grade with more studying. Many people recommend the practice tests and say they are worth the money. Good luck.

Specializes in EMS, ED, Trauma, CEN, CPEN, TCRN.

I'm studying for NC3 right now. I have the Chancellor's study guide. I read through that, take one of the EC practice tests, then read from the Kozier's text in the areas where I still need work, then take the second practice test. That worked for me very well for NC2, at any rate. I'm almost done with the study guide for NC3, so I'll be doing my first practice test soon. I'm testing July 31st. :)

I passed NC3 last week. I suggest purchasing Lisa Arends CD's!!!!

It was (to my geriatric-oriented mindset) heavily skewed towards L&D.

I got a B - and A VERY high rating in chronic illness. Gee who'da thunk.
