Nurses' Unions
I think we need some unions in Georgia!

Unions for nursing?
:oJust wondering if any nurses out there have unionized,if so what has their experience been like.Has it helped with any problems or not? What are the best unions for nurses and how hard is it to be part of a union as a hospital nurse? It seems like nursing today have no advocates in our workplace.

Excelsior testing question
You have to pay the registration fee .I would check with excelsior and make sure they will accept.I know they accept some Clep, but not all.Lifespan was not a real bad test,I took EC test. You do need to study. If you have the free content guide from EC,it is pretty precise as to the content you need to know for exam.I use it as my study guide. The workbook that went along with the textbook was great.

Excelsior Exams?
Hi,I am also a student through Excelsior.I'm still pretty new to it all.I have completed Lifespan.I used the recommended textbook and workbook listed in the content guide. The advice everyone has given is very good.I have not use any of the study guides yet.I do try to buy my books from ebay or half.com (even better),I did not do that at first and spent a lot of money on books at EC bookstore, also cheaper to buy one edition earlier than advised in content guide. I have heard good and bad re:study guides. Some say they are great, others that there is not enough info to prepare them for the exams.I'm sure they are quicker to get through.I am currently an LPN and sometimes wonder if I'm crazy for attempting this online study route,it is not easy.Good luck with your studies whatever you decide to do.God bless!:welcome:

Nursing Concepts 3
Go to ebay, type in excelsior college or college network study guides.Lisa arends CD's are the ones with the picture of the nurse, they are around 9.99 each, very thorough. She has a good reputation with all the nursing groups I have joined. Also go to yahoo groups.com and join the nurs ing groups.A lot of info there and they have files with notes and some practice exams you can access for free.Saunders NCLEX review book and Q&A books are helpful.Good luck with all your studies and God bless:welcome:
