  1. Thanks everyone. I will keep thinking about those of you waiting and hoping that your state will let you know quickly! As soon as my license number is posted next week, I can practice as a LPN and that means I have to learn to do IVs at work! I am a little nervous about that, but I know I will feel better after I start doing them. Anyway, thanks again and good luck!!!!
  2. Not trying to rub it in since we have quick results in NY, but I PASSED! :-) Good luck to you and be sure to post once you get your passing results!!
  3. I took mine yesterday, too. I had pharm, pharm, pharm. At least it felt that way. :-) It shut off at 85 for me, too. I was thinking the computer was broken or something at first because it just went blue and sat there (which it had already kind of done a in the middle of the test for a few seconds). ANYWAY, good luck to you. Sorry you CA people have to wait so long to find out. I should get my quick results tomorrow and I should be able to go to the website in NY next week to get my license number (if I pass).
  4. I started working after graduating in June at a cardiology office. I am set to take the NCLEX on Aug 21st and I will get a raise after I get my actual license. I am in NY and a couple of fellow grads also got jobs in doctor's offices (derm, pulmonary, family practice and peds). A couple went to LTC, too. One ended up at the hospital but that is about all I know. I picked office because of the hours and my hubby is in the military and can't always be around to get our kids. Pay is less than LTC and the hospital, but still better than I was getting before I finished school. GOOD LUCK in your search!!
  5. Thanks for the website. I signed up to be added. I didn't mean to confuse you. TCN and Rue had me very confused... Thanks for sharing the info!
  6. Thanks for the super quick reply! That clears things up. I kind of figured that we would pay our own NCLEX test fee. I was just afraid Pearson charged additional fees for each EC NC exam. I don't know what Rue and TCN were talking about then...
  7. ok...i talked to the tcn rep and a rue rep. i am not going with either of them thanks to a brainstorm to look at ebay and doing additional research on here. a lot of the posts are really helpful. one thing i can not find after searching the posts is about pearson. both the tcn rep and rue rep told me that pearson charges a fee (tcn said $1320 for 6 nc exams and the rue guy said $1625 for 6 or 7 nc exams) in addition to fees to ec. well, excelsior said they have a contract with pearson and there is no fee. sooooo... i just want to check and make sure that i did not misunderstand the ec rep because i asked a whole bunch of questions: if i sign up to do this through excelsior directly and buy my own books/materials privately without tcn or rue, is there an additional test fee to pearson???? in other words, will i pay only excelsior $220 per exam (well, $235 after july 1st according to excelsior) or will i owe excelsior $220 and pearson an additional fee of $220 (or more) per exam??? thanks in advance!!
