Nursing Clogs

Hello.

I'm looking into getting some nursing clogs/mules (not sure of the difference yet). The particular ones i'm looking at are the "Sanita Womens Koi Starlight Mule". If anyone has these I'd love to hear your opinions. But my main question is this: Does anyone know how these are cleaned? I work in the operating room and sometimes get nasty stuff on my shoes... just want to be sure I can clean them before making that large of an investment.

Thanks!!!!

You may want to head over to the Nursing Scrubs/Uniforms/Gear forum and see what's there.

As long as they are leather as the pic appears, you can wipe them off. It looks like they are not suede, just regular leather, right?

I love my danskos! Sanita is basically the same. I do encourage proper leather care by oiling them with a leather moisturizer. This is to prevent cracks in the leather. Maybe I walk funny, squat too much in mine or am just a clutz, but my the 2 pairs I wore 3 days per week for a year have really ugly cracks that the salesman at the Walking Company told me could have been prevented by moisturizing them.

My work Danskos never had that problem...perhaps because I owned 4 pairs! 😀

Exactly the precise advice I need! Thank you!

I tried some danskos on and softwalk Grey's anatomy shoes. I went with softwalk for now, but I found a pair of danskos i really want as well on sale, I have heard they pretty much form to your foot! Both felt very comfortable to me. Danksos fit a little tight on the top of my foot, softwalk didn't.

I like my Danskos because they are leather and I can wipe them off. However, I think there are some that aren't patent leather so be careful. I have Alegria and I didn't realize they aren't patent leather. They are super comfortable but I don't know how water proof they are.
