I'm sorry if I'm asking the same question again. I jsut posted something on another post, but realized it was "outdated." I stumbled upon this post with "newer" info.

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS to those who were accepted!!! Did you just found out this past weekend? When did you apply?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Hey tiandmoe! Well here is some info that I hope is helpful: Well I applied on Aug 13 and found out I was accepted 3 weeks after! They will send you a Congratulatory email and then in a week a packet in the mail. Also, make sure you have all the pre-reqs done before you apply. The pre-reqs are found on the site: http://www.nova.edu/nursing- check it out. Also I hear the gpa's they want is anything above a 3.3 overall. And in science make sure you have good grades and no repeats or fails.If you are planning on applying for January 2011, I suggest you start doing so as soon as possible. Remember, it is very compeitive (due to the amount of applicants), so the sooner the better! If you don't get in your first try, don't worry, try again! Remember: Good things come to those who wait--have patience : ) Let me know if you have any other questions, I'll be happy to help!!

3 weeks?!! Wow that was quick! That's AWESOME you found out so soon. Since I applied 3 days after you (August 16th), I am hoping to hear back sometimes this week or next week. I applied for Davie campus. I turned in a paper application (did not apply online). Maybe that's what taking so long.

Did you receive any automatic email confirmations from NSU (for your transcripts and other documents)?

Lol yeah, I couldn't believe how fast I heard from them! I am just now opening my acceptance packet as I type this! I recieved a few emails regarding financial aid and also when they received my letters of reference and transcripts! I suggest you hand deliver those in person! Like I said, the sooner the better!!! Let me know if you have any other questins!!

I made sure I handed everything in person (the app, the essay, 2 transcripts, 2 letters). The girl at the front desk (Kelley) scanned everything in front of me, so I know they got everything.

However, I had to request FAU to send 1 transcript to Nova (I didn't hand it in person). As of today, I've only received 2 confirmation emails for my 3 transcripts. Huumm...not good. Looks like I will have to hand the FAU transcript in person ASAP, like this Friday. I dont want to have them reject me due to "missing" paperwork.

Did you apply for financial aid right after you turned in your application, or after you got accepted? Unless I win a $40k lottery, I will need to apply for Financial Aid loans as well. Did u have to make appt to see Fin Aid advisor?

You will be okay, don't worry. I have heard of people applying the deadline date and still have gotten in. Just make sure to keep on track of everything! I have not applied for financial aid yet. However, I will be doing so sometime this week. Also, I am going to Nova next week to speak with an advisor as to what I need to do next. I just received my acceptance packet today and I need to look over it carefully because it is quite a few papers lol. Let me know if you have any other questions! GOOD LUCK
