No $$$ for school!!

Hi everyone,

I need some info, hopefully you all can help me.

I had some $$ set aside for my 2 classes this semester, an unfortunate event came about and the $$ needed to be spent on car repairs.

School starts Monday and I have no funds to go. My question is , is there a way for me to still get in eventhough I am only 2 days away from the start of classes???

Can a student loan/pell grants or others be done that quickly, and is it EVEN possible??? Should I just wait out the semester and go back in January?

Thanks in advance!~

I would definately call your school financial aid office ASAP!!!! The grants and loans can not be done in one day.. Its a process and It can take a while. You do have to fill out a FAFSA form which you can do online (just google it), and can do it over the weekend so that at least is ready for Monday.

Good Luck!

go see your student financial aid office.

Have you filed your fafsa?

It is amazing what aid they can dig up in a hurry for school.

hey, sorry about your situation!

Some school will allow to to pay in installments but usually require a certain percentage down, like 25%... you pay the rest over the semester.

Good luck to you!

My school does several things through financial aid. How were you planning on paying? Usually the finances are due a couple weeks prior to class starting. If you fill out your fafsa online it usually takes less than a week to process, and you can start the classes before the week is up. Also, my college has a program where you can pay in installments, 1/3 each quarter. You can also ask family for help. Just get hurrying on it if you want to start this qtr!

I practically lived in the financial aide office. Although it does take time to review, I put more grant letters out, anything posted. The school gave me a grant, I didn't have to pay back. And like all the rest of us the FAFSA is the way to go. Good luck!
