*new grad*~are there any places that hire new grads, that haven't took nclex yet???

Seconded: you're not "license pending" in Illinois until you have your pass letter in hand - you can't practice as a nurse beforehand. If you've already sat the NCLEX but apply before you get your pass letter, there are some hospitals who'll call you back in their usual three-to-four weeks later and ask you if you've passed, but those are rare and generally only for positions which they intend to fill with new grads.

I really think that it depends with each facility. The hospital that hired me doesn't take the "license pending" letter anymore unlike some people in my class who got hired with it. Goooooo take the NCLEX and be done with it. One thing at a time. Best wishes to you.

Yeah, take the NCLEX, but then be prepared to wait. Most new grads have to wait approx 6-12 months for a job.
