NELRP 2014

Has anyone started to apply for the Nurse Corps loan repayment program? I wanted to see if anyone is having trouble using the application at all?

I received my finalist award a few days ago! thanks for everyones feedback and communication on here, and I hope everyone else that applied gets in as well!! waiting approval from secretary to sign the contract! good luck to everybody and be patient

If the award emails are sometimes coming to "spam mail" will it still have an HRSA address? I was so doubtful that for the second year in a row that I might not receive an award. After speaking with a rep, she informed me that although my primary care score is a 9, that because we also treat mental health in my facility, that they would accept the highest score which is a 16. This places me back in Tier 1 which I am so thankful for. Praying that this year will be the year and that I will also receive an award. I own my home and live alone, so the almost $500/month plus a mortgage on one salary is KILLING me! Congrats to all those who have heard great news this year!!!

It will say "[email protected]"

Anyone else heard anything this week? I'm in tier 1, but still under review, unfortunately.

I'm still under review also.

I am under review as well.... :(

Still under review here too! I figured we would have heard of a lot more people getting it by now. I wish I were a patient person! :)

Hi, I have been reading this thread and wondering a few things. First, has anyone previously "under review" heard they did not receive an award this year? Or do you keep this status until the award cycle is over? Is anyone out there a CNM who has received an award? I am a CNM, Tier 1 and still under review. This is the first year I have applied.

Thanks

Update: It's official. My contract has been countersigned on 7/25/2014 04:05:39 PM EST. (Acceptance notification 6/30/14)

Feeling so blessed and I just want to cry. haha.

Best of luck everyone!

Last year I was under review until the very end. It was actually ironic because the morning after the "government shutdown" all of us who had been waiting received our rejection letters. Still hoping and praying that this year will prove differently.

Gaaaah.. I wish they would respond already.... I'm paying a super high interest on my private loans right now and if only I knew if it was a yes or no yet so I can decide to consolidate and pay less! I'm currently, paying over 1.2K in loans monthly right now plus a home mortgage.. Not fun. I'm sure I probably won't get it anyways since my hospital score is so low....but I'm praying they take into account my letter of intent, resume, and huge amount of debt! From what the prior threads have been... It seems as tho the main and only factor is how high up in the tiers you are. So sad.

Update for those who are tracking.
