I have been trying to concieve for about 9 months, have had irregular periods since August, spotting mostly, but my GYN says all is normal..........Why can't I get pregnant then???? I am going to be 34 years old this year & my husband & I would like at least 2 children.......I'm getting worried.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Has your husband's sperm count been tested?
YES. Infact, I had blood work & he had the semen analysis done in November.

Your title was need some advise
So here is mine
Relax, settle down stop worrying about making it happen I am not overly religious but some would say let go and let God.
My personal opinion is make a little time to get away and get into that deeep relaxation point, if you and your husband are intimate lovers and can take a weekend jaunt somewhere away from hearth and home and add a littel spice and romance to the situation do it!
I just think that your body has to be at ease and you mind has to be in a positive place without fear and worry so that you may release and possibly make a baby!
Just a thought think of all the babies that are concieved when people are just having casual sex and don't want one.
Hey maybe I am just a romantic at heart!

Isn't there a rule of thumb when you are trying to conceive that if you are 30 or 35 years or younger and you have been trying for more than 6 months and are unsuccessful, then you should contact a fertility specialist.
And if you are over the age of 30 or 35 and have been trying for a year or longer and have not conceived then you should contact a specialist.
Sorry, can't remember if the specific age was 30 or 35. I just heard this on the news a week or so ago regarding a story on fertility.
Any ideas on why your periods are irregular? Is your GYN chaulking it up to your age or are you stressed or having other medical issues right now that are affecting your periods?
Never underestimate your psychological state when trying to conceive. A study was done with couples who were diagnosed and told that for various reasons they would never conceive. They went through counseling which many felt was very helpful in coming to terms with their diagnoses. After counseling and acceptance of their situation many of these couples became pregnant without trying.
I agree that you need to relax about all of this, if you have trouble doing so I am all for you getting a second opinion or talking with a counselor about how you feel. Anything to reduce your anxiety and worry about this so that you are comfortable that you are doing everything you possibly can and are 100% healthy.
