2nd Attempt Shut off at 75!

Hey to my allnurses community!

I would like to first say thanks to everyone on here who has contributed in some way

or another, you guy's don't know how beneficial reading your methods has helped.

My Story

I graduated June 12th and took my exam June 26th, went straight to 265. After getting the bad pop-up, I realized the worst had happened and all I could do is plan to do better. I told myself in exactly 45 days, I would seek to re-test and stuck to my guns. So 8/12/14, I went back in and the computer shut-off at 75! Good-Pop Up.

Many people probably would like to know what did I do? I did probably the same thing you're doing as a matter of fact you're probably a little smarter than me. Not calling myself a dummy, but I didn't do a bunch of questions like everyone emphasizes. I watched Hurst Videos and did the QReview, purchased a Saunders review book 6E and pretty much read from cover to cover with special emphasis on my weak areas. With YouTube being my great ally so I could witness certain procedures such as the Allen's Test.

Also, my greatest contributing factor was actually giving it to GOD and trusting that he has designed the universe and thus knows the outcome to my life. The atheists and non-believers say you don't need GOD. But it clearly was with his guidance. Trust me give it to him.

Congrats! RN - your determination paid off :)

AMEN! Congrats :)

Praise God and congratulations, RN!

Good job, I just passed myself (July 31st 2014), I made sure to study Hurst completely before taking the NCLEX...but hey at least you passed!

Congrats on passing! I'm glad you also added that you give God the credit. I keep telling myself that I will pass because through God all things are possible! I'm so happy you passed! You give me hope that I too may finally have RN after my name soon. Please say a prayer for this old lady on 8/20. Thank you and God blessings to you and each future person under your nursing care.

The Hurst review? There are so many reviews out there I am getting so confused I failed the pn-nclex for the first time and I'm trying to prepare myself and won't take it until i feel right. Any suggestions and congratulations.

@dbrenda1510

Review the areas you think you may be weak in. Do questions to solidify the content! Most importantly keep calm, treat it like a practice exam and pray!
