265 NCLEX-RN and failed

Hi everyone,I just got home and when i check my mailbox my son handed me an envelope

from BRN california, i was surprise it was small this time and honestly,knowing it was a small envelope it gave me a little hope that i passed but unfortunately i did not.. well my gut feelings where right and the saddest part is i am near passing standard in every category:crying2: (candidate performance report)...im just glad my liitle boy was there to make me smile..Oh and i have a little notice i can share effective Jan 1, 2009 the Cailfornia BRN will no longer mail the request for repeat exam application.Applicants can download the "Request for re-exam form at the BRN website..Goodluck to all the reviewers and More power to all the nurses..

P.S just for evryone to know i took my exam Dec 23 with 265 items with no math and got the results today Jan.14 by mail..

sorry that you failed. l know how you feel. l failed once too. l took the nclex again on the 13th. l am waiting for the result.

Sorry to hear that. Im afraid of the same thing. I had 265 on 13th, no math, alot of meds, priority, 2-3 SATA, and ton of infection control. I am on pins and needles.

Hopefully you'll do well the next time. Have you tried Suzzane's Plan... If i failed, thats what im gonna do.

Oh my! It took so long for the mail to arrive. I was thinking that maybe I'll receive the "dreaded mail" today bec it has been 2 weeks since I took the exam. Near passing in all areas mean that you were just a few steps away from the passing line. Unlike me, I only answered 75. It means that I really messed up with my exam. I'll pray for you. I know you can do it next time. Goodluck!

Im so sorry to hear that, try suzanne's plan, I did and I found out today that I passed. Give yourself a week or so to relax and start again. Good luck.

I know it can be discouraging to see you are near passing in every category, but don't let be! I had the same thing the first time i took the NCLEX. I waited a month actually before i took it again. But the second time i took it I passed and felt more prepared. Priorty was what i studied the most and thats what i had alot of questions on. Maybe 1 math and no diagams. So it can be done. Goodluck next time! This made me smile so hope it'll do the same for you LOL

i felt the same way when i saw the small envelope in the mail. but i too failed...again. don't give up. try suzanne's plan. that's what i'm hoping to do also. i have to wait a week though and redo the first part before contacting her again. good luck!

I'm so sorry - that's heartbreaking, I'm sure. I just took the NCLEX-PN yesterday, and my gut feeling, like yours, is that I failed. Best of luck to you on your re-test - by the sounds of your results you are definitely on the right track and I know you'll get it next time

Sorry to hear you did not pass this time. Take a break and consider doing Suzanne's Plan. I know and have worked with lots of good nurses who did not pass on their first try. Hang in there.

im using suzzanes plan and i really need all your support i took nclex-rn multiple times and i hope this time will be the last.. i would like to take it before my sons bday on march it will be the best gift ever to let him know that his mommy is now a nurse:redbeathe
