NCLEX October 2017

Hello fellow NCLEX takers ... I wanted to start a chat for everyone taking the NCLEX in October ... let's motivate each other. When you need a pick me upper let's check up on each other. What are you using to prepare for the NCLEX? What date in October are you taking the NCLEX? Are you taking NCLEX PN or NCLEX RN?

I'll start with me. My name is Nadia and I'll be taking the NCLEX PN on October 13th. This will be my fourth time to take the NCLEX ... the last time I took the NCLEX was in 2008. I had to take a required refresher course in Florida in order to be eligible to sit for the exam again ... I did that and also did clinical which I absolutely love because I didn't get the same experience when I was in school. I have been using Saunders, just recently completed the Hurst Live Review (which I absolutely loved) and I will be purchasing U World. I've learned so much in the past year and so motivated to start my career. I do work a full time and I am a Team Lead so I have a hectic day almost every singe day. I have no choice but to make time when I get off to study from 7pm until I get tired and that may be 11 pm or 12 am. If I'm too tired to look at the computer then I'll plug in my headset and listed to the Hurst audio and put it in my long term memory as they call it lol. Hoping to hear from others as I love reading this forum getting different ideas from other fellow nclex takers.

I work full time as well but my schedule is fixed ... I work 8-5 Monday thru Friday and my study window during the week is 7 pm to 11 pm ... right now re-watching the Hurst videos and making que cards like they said ... I would say if you know what you're schedule is a week ahead then write out a plan on how you're going to study for that week ... so if you work in the morning then when you get home take a power nap (I usually do an hour) and then study minimum 3 hours if you can do more great ... if you're working a night shift then try to study 3 hours before you go to work ... my main thing is preparing myself mentally of what I'm going to do so I know how to pace myself ... hopefully this make sense ... I'm sleepy while typing this lol but wanted to answer your question before I go to sleep ... anyone else have other suggestions feel free to chime in

Hello my study time is 10pm to 12mn from work. Im strenghtening my content first by Saunders compre. Satas as of now are my weakness but after I finished saunders, then pda I will focus UWorld as ive heard it will teach you skills on satas..hope so..

Yes Oct 14th

One day after me ? ... I'm trying to make plans of what I'm doing to do for the next 48 hours to keep my mind off it. I will not be trying the Pearsonvue Trick ... I don't need anything increasing my anxiety after taking the test.
