Much has already been written about the various materials that have been used successfully to pass the NCLEX. Main ones are Saunders, Kaplan, Hurst, learning ext and Linda La charity book on delegation. A lot will depend on what you think is suitable for you. May be worth going to the local book store and browsing their books on NCLEX

The one most everyone thinks is the best is Saunders NCLEX with CD-ROM. Best of Luck.

Go to a bookstore and look through what is available to choose what is best for you.

Just posted this to answer a question about the new test plan, but it seems relevant here:

I recently purchased a really great book that is updated for the new 2010 test plan. It's called Davis's Q&A for the NCLEX-RN Examination by Kathleen Ohman. It comes with 1350 alternate-format questions and a CD with over 5000 questions, over 3000 of which are unique to the CD and not in the book. There are also over 900 pharm questions. The ISBN is 0-8036-2187-6 if you want to look it up!

They also have free audio and graphic questions on the website! Go to DavisPlus - Welcome and at the top search bar type in the keyword: Ohman.

Hope this helps!

I used Saunders and the school I went to had the NCLEX 4000 program there. I also went to the Hurst Review which I loved!!

I used Saunders, NCLEX 3500 and also the "random facts" thread on this site. They all helped me a lot. There are some mnemonics that were very helpful in that thread, especially the ones about Infection Control. Good luck!
