NCLEX and ATT

Published

Hi,

I just graduated and overnighted my application to BON (MA who runs it through PCS in Nashville) and it was received last Thursday. When I log into Perason the only option that I have is "Registration" which I have done, and Pearson acknowledges that. Will my button to schedule not appear until my ATT is issued?

Also, How long after your review course (i am doing Anderson in MA) did you sit for the exam? I have been doing bullets and questions and will be finishing my course a week form this Thursday and planned to sit that following Monday.

Thanks!

I was able to schedule immediately after I recieved my ATT through Pearsonvue. I had pre-registered, and as soon as the BON got my transcripts and talked to PV, I got an the ATT email with a link to log in and schedule my exam.

I didn't take a review course, but the times for the test fill up quickly. I was lucky and managed to score a spot about a month after graduation, but some of my classmates who waited longer to schedule ended up not being able to until October.

Thanks! I actually heard they were filling up, but I guess you can troll around and usually get a really quick cancellation date! My friend scheduled for like 2-3 weeks out, but tried again the next day and got the following day!

Appreciate your reply!

I got my test scheduled for about a month after graduation, times fill up very quickly. I got lucky to get the time that I did, mine was at 8:00 AM on a Sunday, but all other times were either a week earlier or 2-3 weeks later.

I did Kaplan, the actual online class sessions ended 2 weeks before my test date, and I did review questions all the way until the day before the test. Don't slack off!

When i finished nursing school 4 years ago, i was instructed to take the exam not later than 2wks after review, and i believe it helps. anyways you would not be able to register for exam until the ATT arrives. use your time wisely to study but remember that just as studying is important, rest is also important. (the brain can only take so much)

awesome advice! I had heard by some to wait a month after the review ended!?!? I want to keep my mojo going and I am all about putting in long hard study days!

What books did you guys find most helpful for questions? I actually own quite a few because that is how I studied for my nursing school exams. The newest i Have is the Lipincott Q&A. I also have been going over and over tons of bullet factoid and mnemonics that I nabbed form scribd. What do you all recco?

Regarding sleep... I plan to get a hotel room the weekend before my test and just stud and relax ( I have two small children at home so it is not always conducive to study;)

Pearsonvue will not release ATT until the BON OK it and I doubt you can schedule without ATT

I took mine in close conjunction with school and was lucky to pass because I was in school mode. Had I not passed, I would have gone into a more structured prep mode.

I was in the same exact situation. I mailed my application to the MA BORN in Nashville on a Friday. They received it on Tuesday and Pearson issued my ATT on Friday at 6 PM. It will be emailed to you automatically and there will be a new button in your Pearson account to schedule your test.

You can call PCC if you want to check the status too! I called them every day until I got my ATT!

Anderson prepaers you very well...schedule it for ASAP after you finish. Unless your grades were iffy in school, you don't have to prepare nearly as much as they tell you too.

I have a question! When u schedule your NCLEX date online, you have to register right?? and then they ask about your social security number, do we have to give them as well? thank you for the answer!
