Hi all!
I will be taking my NCLEX on July 26th. I am up to about 3500 practice questions using Saunders, Kaplan, and NCLEX EXcell. I just began using the Mosby's CAT website last night. I had just worked a 12 hour shift and then came home and there it was finally in the mail so I had to try it. When I took it last night it predicted a 92% probability of passing and then I took it again today (after being rested) and scored a 96% probability. I find these questions very different from everythng else I have been studying. I was just wondering if anyone else has used this webdite and how you feel about the questions and scoring? Thanks everyone for all the great tips and keep me in your prayers for my big day and I'll do the same for all of you! Congrats to all that have already conquered the NCLEX!

Hi Jen, I take the test on the 14th, next Thurs. I bought the Mosby CAT online version and just started it today. I've been using Saunders and Kaplan, doing the questions on their CDs everyday. The questions on the Mosby CAT are different, I don't know ... but I thought I was doing fairy well on it, it shut off at 75 and told me I had an 82% probability of passing. Sheeesh, 82 that's it?!! God I feel so dumb What am I doing wrong? I wanted to take this Mosby CAT to try and build up my confidence but now it just shot my confidence down and now I can't stop crying.
Is this over yet?!?!?!??!?!
I'm sorry I'm being so negative, I'm just having a hard time right now. I wish you good luck!

Don't get discouraged raindreamer. I am sure you will be fine if you are practicing and reviewing that's about all you can do. I totally understand how you feel right now, because I am right there with ya. I have never had so much riding on one stinking test in my life. I have come to the conclusion that from here on out it's going to be all positive thinking. I will save the freaking out and crying for when that computer shuts off because at that point I'll know that it's out of my hands. At least we still have some control over it with practicing and studying. Try to look at it that way. I wish you the best of luck on the 14th (((((HUGS))))).
Thanks for the encouragement, Jen :)
I really try to stay positive and keep my head up, but after taking that test I was just shocked that I only got an 82% probability. I'm debating about postponing the test but I really don't think I should, I just want to get it over with and do the best I can.
By this point I'm just not even sure what to do as far as studying. I guess I'll just continue to do the questions, but I feel like there's so much more that I should be doing even though I don't know what!
It just helps to talk to people on here that are going through the same thing and know how stressful it is! We can do this :)

Hang in there RainDreamer,
82% is not bad!! Think of it this way, Mosby's CAT was able to figure your probability at 75 questions that you will pass. :) Did you do the next 75 questions to see how you did in all areas of the test? Doing this may help.
Good luck,
LaVonne
Thank you LaVonne, that made me feel better :) I actually just got done taking another one of their tests and this time got a 94%, I feel better about that, and I only got 1 of the same questions I got the first time.
The questions are a lot different, I think I was having trouble understanding what some of them were wanting. On the first test I did go back and do the last 75 and then got the detailed analysis of how I did, that did help! I'm going to finish the last 75 of the second test tomorrow and then go through and review all those questions and answers focusing on the ones I missed.
I'm glad I bought this, took me a couple days to get the Test ID, but it was worth it.
How's it going for you, Jen? Have you done more of the tests?

I'm thinking about getting the Mosby CAT but I've been reading on the forums that it takes awhile to get the test ID. I would like to take the test late July (still waiting for my ATT though. It's been almost two weeks since grades have been posted!) so if it takes a long time to get sent, I'd rather not waste my money on it to use it for one week.
How long did it take you to get the test ID? How did it work ... they sent you the ID via regular mail?
By the way, I've been taking Saunders and Lippincott tests and can't seem to get past 70% right!! How are you guys scoring on these books? It's soo frustrating and disheartening since I've already completed the whole Saunders Q & A book. I feel like every time I take a practice test, it has a whole bunch of new diagnosis and drugs that I just have no clue about out ... it's impossible and I don't think I will ever be prepared
celle, the thing about the Test ID is that it's just unorganized on their part ....... because they don't really give you a Test ID, they don't give it to you via email or mail it to you. I just had to call and get it. I called the 800 number that's in their confirmation email that they send after you place your order. I talked to a very nice lady named Cherry (a few other people mentioned her on here too, she's probably the main person that does it). She will give you your Test ID and password on the phone. You can probably call her the next day, I just had to wait a couple days because of the holiday weekend.
Don't let that discourage you from getting this though, I find it's a very helpful resource. After you purchase the Mosby CAT, you have 30 days unlimited use of the questions.
HTH :)

They are very different than any other practice questions I have done. I find myself thinking a lot harder for these ones. I remember reading a post by someone on here awile ago that they felt that this website was the closest to the board questions and it was the only thing they used. I wish I could remember the thread or the poster. i just took another one today it shut off at 86 questions and said I had a 99% chance of passing boards. I was very happy with that. I porbably had about 7 repeat questions since this was my third time taking the test, but I got those ones right the first time so I don't think that altered my score. I score in the high 50's low 60's on Kaplan and anywhere between low 70's mid 80's on Saunders. I still need to do some content review on maternity, psych, and growth and development.
I just hope I am ready. I don't know what else to do. Do I keep on doing practice questions, or read some of the content that I know I am weak in? The stress and anticipation is killing me, I just want it to be all over.

She bought it for me as a gift. I went from 50% to 99% probability. It costs around $49.00 but you can practice as much you want in those 30 days and if you have any computer glitches with it, they extend your days. Good luck, you will enjoy it.

I was beginning to wonder if it shut off at anything besides 75, so that's good to know. Still confused about how it figures out at what number to shut off, but that's the least of my worries at this point lol.
I didn't buy the CD, I just bought the online version for $40. Here's the link for it:

Here's a thread where Chris at Lucas talks about her experience with studying for the NCLEX by using this. I hope it ends up working just as well for me too! (read the 3rd post in this thread:
