In the grand scheme of things, it may not matter all that much, BUT if people on a nursing website can't get it right, that's kind of sad.

GUILTY! I do it all the time, its just where my fingers hit the keys on the board. It seems more comfortable to hit two p's than it does to hit two a's. And, if that's the most stressful thing in your life right now, then good for you!

When it is posted here or on a blog, I have no issues with it. To me, this is a casual setting where I have less expectations. At work, of course, it should be spelled correctly. I do tend to place two 'p's , probably because of how it sounds. I am more careful in general on how I want my notes to appear in order to be taken seriously, but in our AN setting, not so much.

It's not such a big thing for me here, really. I am just happy to be able to converse with other nurses about issues that plague me.

but it would also lend us (nurses) more credibility when we can understand and spell the law, don't you think?
