Mature Nurses over 50

I'm taking a poll......who is still in Nursing and 50 or over and what field are you in!!

Kissing 50 and still here- obviously- anesthesia.

I'm 52 and a night shift charge nurse in a skilled/intermediate LTC facility. Love it!

I am 52 and currently in my first Med-Surg rotation at Macomb. I am currently working at Bon Secours part-time on the Med-Surg floor 3NE. I am waivering between going into ER, ICU or OB when I get my degree in October 2005.

Erm...do I count? 51 and almost finished w/freshman year of nursing school. :) loving every minute of it.

Hi Sue, you can include me in your poll. I am 54 and work on a med-surg unit doing 12 hr. shifts 7pm to 7am. fulltime! My specialty is oncology, also

I am not yet 50, but I am just curious of how you are preparing for your retirement which will be in 15 years. What advices would you give to younger nurses?
