I've got good news!I got accepted into the nursing program!
the bad news is that I have to take classes throughout the summer:uhoh3:
but anyways is there anyone out there who got accepted as well?
is there an advantage/ disadvantage of taking classes over the summer after taking classes in the fall and spring semester?

I don't know about the summer semester vs. fall/ spring semester. I'm taking my first summer semester. Looking forward to seeing the advice

Hi-5! I don't think there's any disadvantage of taken summer courses...if anything, it puts you into the loop earlier

Hey congrats! i got accepted as well, and start in the fall. I'm SOOO excited!
I think i might take pathophysiology next summer ... but i would've had to take about 2-3 summer classes if i didn't have most of my pre-requs done. i've never taken summer classes before and i am a bit worried how they are going to fit a semesters worth of information into a couple of weeks.
Good Luck everyone!!

Many nursing schools are set up to do back-to-back terms. For me, I started in Summer 2009 and will finish at the end of Summer 2010.
Advantages:
You finish sooner
There are more opportunities for folks to get accepted
More sunlight to study
Disadvantages:
Either no trips to the beach - or - sand in your bookbag! LOL
Exhaustion......
Nursing school can be tough. Even tougher when you really get no break....especially for folks like me that work full time as well!
